Its a good thing, my idea of work is just watering! Not very big garden, just about 20 plants, managable.. I neever thought, id have an entire summer to be a bum..er.. gardener

I tried the pineapple bit with a spare bucket I had sitting outside last summer. Didn't get it right, though, as the thing never rooted. Figured if I got it going I'd bring it indoors and set it up with a corner and a nice pot inside. Might have to give it another go some day. And I've heard two years is an optimistic prediction to get a fruit. Some articles I've read have said up to 7 years. :yoinks:

This stuff only takes a couple months, though....

Mornin stoners........if you are growing onions from seed it will take forever unless you are growing for green onions and not big storable onions........you need to start onion sets. I grow onions outside and you don't want to plant deep, when they start getting a good bunch of green you want to uncover the bulb to about 3/4 of the onion showing as the sun is what makes em big. I planted about 500 onions this year and just now harvested about 70. Average size is between golfball and baseball and some bigger than baseballs. Also when growing corn you should plant atleast 3 rows as corn is wind pollinated unless you want to pollinate by hand.....each tassel on a ear of corn is a kernel and every one needs pollen to make a full ear.
maybe I'll skip the onions for now and just wait to put them out side with the rest of the veggies, I'm really just looking to grow something for fun until the weather warms up and I can get a proper garden going in the greenhouse.

I just put one pea seed per hole and watered them , like weed there's a fail rate . I planted snow pea pods and their a climber and grew to about 5 ' . They were fast once they got started , flower one day ,pea pod the next .
awesome! Hopefully I have enough mesh for them!! there's about 2.8m strip lining the inside.
