@epenguin . Have you listen to rap. Nice. I hated rap when I was younger. All my friends were listening to rap, I just didn't understand it.. I hated it until I was 15-16... I was more happy to listen to beautiful "gay" songs ( no offense if your gay ). But that changed.. I heard some song that were good, with a nice beat, probably Dr Dre... but I like all kind of music, as long as it has a good beat and if the person singing got a talent. I think there is alot of rappers that is not as tough as they "sing" just alot of bullshit for it to sound good, for the youngsters to be impressed. Sure some rappers have made some shit, but from what I know it sounds way "cooler" then it acsually is. Maybe they heard of somebody else who done it or had a friend who did it. Where I'm from I don't know any rapper that have done everything they say, so,even stuffs yes, but no way near the way that they sing about.. I call it bullshit.
But to be a rapper you need to have some talent, you need to be able to express yourself, you need to be able to tell a story people want to hear, a story you can relate to or dreaming about to have ( money, beaaatches, gold , your private airplane and so on. I dont think the famous rappers could have been famous if they were not talented... talented in their way, either by have a very good music-ear, tell a story, be good to put the lyrics together. Things like that isnt something you do in 5 minutes. You need to focus... from start many of these guys maybe didnt have so many ways to go, but they wanted to do something with their lifes. I know people who has rapped, they have not been the most criminal-acting people but they have been around people doing alot of shit. So they have seen and heard alot. I dont think the real-deal-guys has time and the focus to become rappers. The true criminals has allready a good life and are happy with it as it is so they dont need to look into singing for make their money, and the fuck-up criminals dont have time to sit down and put the time it takes. Ill say its not the most active criminals who become rappers.... But when they become famous they have put up an image wich they have to defence for not loosing their face if someones trashtalking them.
Maybe this got a bit messy, but i tought i had something to give from my experience.
As you can read, im not a rapper, i cant tell a story and get it together
