Yeah methanol and isopropyl alcohol again are not safe to drink or inhale, that said they vaporize easily and work well as organic solvents. They are also just flammable as ethanol and butane. That said, ethanol, methanol and ispropyl will work fine for extracts and if used safely and heated without flame to 85 degC pose no problem. Denatured is an umbrella-catch all phrase, and my comments were for @Slowmo 's specific product.

And if you're in the EU this might be worth a look: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2013:049:0055:0061:EN:PDF
Fair enough...

Yeah turns out governments like really dislike the circumventing of taxes paid for alcohol
You know there's a filter to take the sulphur( i think) out of nitrous oxide( the kind for a race car) which filters it to medical grade( like the dentist/ laughing gas)... Ive only heard about it tho

Yeah gases are a totally different bag, we didn't even get into degassed solutions... There is a very very simple work around for that which I will not be posting here because I don't want people blowing themselves up but a simple google search on solubility of sulfur dioxide should do it for those looking
