No worries! I'm the same way, so I wasn't sweating it. Just saw ya on here now & figured I'd ask. Any resources for a beginner with zero knowledge on breeding? Like, 101-level stuff is where I'm at, lol. Any favorite strains you'd suggest for a newbie pepper grower?

It all depends on what you want to breed. Peppers are different than canna and to isolate traits it almost has to be done indoor or at least as far apart as you can get them.

Capsicum Annuum, or most chili peppers can cross, they accept pollen rather well from each other and its probably the biggest reason we see so many hybrids these days. If its something that you are interested in grab some jalapeno's to understand the sex organs and how to remove what parts. They are cheep and the seeds are everywhere. Once you understand the process in how they reproduce simply apply that to the cross.

Interesting, and good to know. Perhaps breeding is a little more in depth than I should aim for at the moment, lol. That is to say, I barely have room for my medicine, so if peppers need a lot of room between them, it's gonna have to wait. Thanks for the info!

Guess you'll never grow one of them Sativas with a 6 month flowering period them huh? lol!
Probably not :)

I smoked a Dr. Grinspoon I bought in Amsterdam once, the fella who sold it to me told me straight up, it was a 24 week equatorial finisher. In the gram bag (which, cost a small fortune), it looked like dirt with balls.

Wispy, ugly, shitty color.

A half pinner was a 4 hour run o' fun. Sights and sounds. As good as some thai stick I smoked in the late 70's. The two most memorable things that made me like weed. The Grinspoon made me love weed all over again.

If I was to set up an indoor room, I'd be tempted to go deep. I doubt I could get the genetics now tho.

Picture an October bean that takes until April, and yields 2-3 ounces.....

There's some interesting stuff out there if you want to venture into landraces!
