Step', the OF often as not is too hot in richness as well for seedlings,.. some get away with it, other get stunted fried plants! the acidity makes matters worse,... I heard some bullshit backpeddling talk about FF making the soils this low because of the tendency of the pH rising over time,... well, yeah, if you use hard water, never pH adjust it, and again that's OVER TIME, not right away, so putting a new plant, transplant of whatever into low 5's soil is going to shit on you, little doubt about that!
Wait, I have hard water. I should not ph it?

... Step, they did get bought out by Monsanto or something? So I'm not surprized they fucked with the formulas some,... for an "organic" line, no nitrates should be found in the CaMg+, you'd think! What does the label ingrd. say about the sourcing materials?
@Frankthetank said the guy at the grow store said it hadn't changed just the label.. Because there was actually .05 N and technically not 0

Is it expensive? What's 2 cubic feet usually run?

I pay about $30 US for a truck load of yard debris compost, or $40 for mushroom compost. My truck carries about 1.5 or 2 cubic yards. Enough for two or three inches over a 20x20 bed.

NEVER flush soil! It takes too long for the micro life ( that survives ) to ring nutrient levels back to normal. PH issues should be corrected with lime. You can even mix a couple teaspoons full into a gallon of water. Not much actually disolves but it is enough to help start correcting the ph.

Morning peoples .
Should I flush my soil before droppiin seeds in.

Alright....I figured it out! I have a bottle of each and based on waira's suggestion I checked the ingredient list. I'm officially throwing the Bullshit flag on the grow store guy!!!

The old calmg+ (0-0-0) list the ingredients derived from calcium carbonate, and magnesium carbonate.

THe new 1-0-0 stuff has Calcium Carbonate and magnesium nitrate. Kinda clears things up....
