I had that happen with a new sprout on my current grow. What happened was the cotyledon grew with the seed shell still attached to the tips. I thought it would fall off naturally, but left it for a day. The next day, I removed the shell and found that the two tiny fans were trying to grow within, with no light. It is turning out okay though. Nothing to worry about, my friend.
