What species do you catch when you fish? Have you considered sinking a couple of christmas trees of the end of your dock? Instant cover!

Catfish, Small Mouth Bass, Hybrid Bass, brown Spotted Gars.

Mostly Catfish and Small Mouth.

Family swimming area, and not the deepest cove, so we dug our the old trees from there. Some people got hurt while swimming one summer.

Depends on who you talk to and y they are hunting that particular “Thing”. Lol

I think the Canadians SF have the longest confirmed sniper shot from a 50 (last summer) 2.4 miles

that is a lonnnnnggg way out!!

We shoot at my buddies range a fair bit, but its limited to 300 yards

most of the time we just play around with .22lr's and 12 gauge shotguns...all other cartridges are pricey to shoot....get the 9mm's out once in awhile at $.50 a shot, but you can burn through money too fast for my wallet in the JR carbine!!! Buck a shot or more for rifle carts, specialty carts like .44 are $1.25 a shot...ouch

Not yet this year, mostly 2 and 3 pounders, and only caught 2 small mouths and 3 cats. But only been out 4 times

2-3 pounders aint too shabby!!
I would also consider trying night fishing....cats around here are voracious night predators. Even topwater for smallmouth might be productive...ive done very well night fishing in many areas.

Ever reload? Rounds are cheaper per shot. Plus you can load to specific range. Bullet grain, powder weight etc

My buddy and i looked into it....the staple components (brass, bullets and powder) are brutal in cost in the few places where available. We figured it would be around 80% of the cost to reload not including the equipment to get started...i know right!!

My buddy is still considering it, for the fine tuning aspect of his long range rifles.

Our government, is at least smart enough to know that they dont need to control the firearms...all they need to do is control the ammunition. Make it super expensive and restrictive to shoot, and hardly anybody will.
