I checked trichs this morning to be sure on the Glueberry & Cream Mandarine cloudy with 5-10% amber so I chopped and paper bagged up. Forgot to take pics of the Glueberry. :cuss:Now waiting on the Double Grape to finish and hoping the Hubbabubbasmellascope starts packing on some weight.

Yeah i dont know a whole hell of alot about the newest lighting systems :D I did do some research on this when i was setting up my stealth cab, and considered making my own, but in the end i went with a prefab unit and its working fine. I would say for sure if i custom built cobs for my space my Grams Per Watt would be higher, but then again so would entry cost!
I am probably going to try the poteniometer hack with mine when they get here. I can always take them out if they don't work.

Not sure if you saw my post from last night, but I did some math to see just how significant the difference in heat dissipation is between my current lights and these COBs. At a likely 20% efficiency, and drawing 260ish watts per fixture, those are blasting 208 watts of heat into the tent. By comparison, the COB draws 60 watts and is 50% (or close) efficient. That's just 30 watts of heat per lamp or roughly 14% as much as my viperspectras. For me, that is just what the doctor ordered. If I can also adjust the voltage going into the chip, that would lower the wattage and by extension the heat dissipation as well.

Wait, Is the 25% off on EVERYTHING, or just parts and accessories like I assumed?
Looks like they've marked down the desktop and portable units 20%, but parts & accessories are 25%.

can we get that deal in the U.K dude?
They have different power options in the drop down menu (north america, united kingdom, etc) so I think it's sitewide deal but you'd have to check it out and put something in the cart.

I believe on the Autocob the driver has a little rubber plug if you remove there is a screw adjustment. But you have to separate the driver from the heatsink as it's underneath @BigSm0 would be able to answer better if it could be adjusted or not.
