i grew up a few counties away from Howard, met him a couple of times many years back and then more recently he came to the village where i live now.,not to see me, for an event.

Genuinely a lovely man.....every fucker round here wanted to show him their grow............he would go too and get wrecked.

I loved him and i smoked plenty of the dope he supplied. when i was a kid.................all this is probably his fault actually......:bighug:

Don't quote me on this...but I read somewhere that the lack of minerals in distilled water means that the ph readings are unreliable. ....or something to that effect.
Now that you mention it, I believe I saw that somewhere, too. That would certainly explain it... thanks!

Holy shit does shipping from the USA hurt these days!! A friggin reel handle for a fishing reel costs $24US for ship to canada??? The part is $12 and the shipping is $24...jeez
That's criminal.

Trying to figure out why my distilled water is alkaline. I thought it should be slightly acidic from dissolved CO2, but alkaline? Where did THAT come from?

I am distilling the water myself, so this is kinda unexpected...
True distilled water will give you false readings as there should be no dissolvable solids in it... I only use distilled water and the readings are false

That's criminal.
I know right!!!
Fortunately i was able to get the part ordered locally...$14 for the spare spool and $15 for the handle....sweet deal!! $30US investment is well worth it...its a $130 reel that was given to me for free!!(but missing the handle)
Hey anything you need rod and reel wise just me up I make custom rods and lures and have a Polly well over 5k rods and reels in the boneyard shop for spares and etc. And I charge .50 cents Us for any part and $3 us for the whole rod or reel.
