Yes and no...depending on the lake...some are infested with zebra mussells and are very clear, but some are tea stained. For the most part this system should work very well. The one i am getting, will be able to go to 100 feet deep(30 meters).
This will change where we fish, and how we fish!!

I was a bit surprised how inexpensive the eyoyo cameras are. I assumed due to thier low cost($140 US shipped) they would be junk, but after doing a whack of research I only found great things said about them! Saw a bunch of footage in a lake i fish at 96feet deep and I was super impressed!!
sounds good, you never know how that gear might work once you get it...I guess you've done the homework!

There is slight variations in the different sellers models. The one i need to get has white light leds as well as IR leds. It has the ability to flick through the different modes. This is key for working well in different water depths and clarities.
put a couple of hooks on it for retrieval. lol

The nice thing about that camera is parts are truly a dime a dozen....if anything breaks, its a cheap easy part to replace. The limited battery life is a bit of a limitation(6-8 hours on the supplied 4500mAh), but i am going to grab a 20000mAh USB battery bank to get around that issue. On one of those it should be able to run for around 24 hours straight.
