Good morning/afternoon all. I'm on here a little early compared to when I've normally jump on as I hadn't been to sleep yet. The high winds have been shaking the house and the rain overnight chilled everything down. Now to see if the weather man will be correct this time with the snow they said is going to hit us.

Honestly? Mainly just don't feel like doing one.
Seems like anymore they're just advertisements for this product or that breeder etc etc. That's cool and all, but for a guy like me, It's actually kind of a turnoff when it comes to that product or breeder. I mean, If 3/4 of the shit was actually affordable for a broke ass like me, Then I'm sure I'd have a different take on it. It's cool they can show that their $1500 lighting system can get a pound a plant, While using kosher obtained organic bat shit and $1000 worth of nutes, But to me that shit's for the birds. Lemme see what you can do with a $100 chinese led, $55 bag of dry nutes, and a 10lb block of coco.
Sorry.. Not trying to be a prick when I typed that.... Just how it came out.

I had many great grows with a Chinese led and an $18.00 bag of super soil.. just fed water.

Mannn... I'd take that 21 inches of snow over the 3" of rain we've got over the past four days.
At least there's sunlight...

I'm thinking of going that route next grow, if my chinese led survives that long.

When my led started to go out I converted it to a cob light
How hard is that to do? Can you use components in the led, like the fans/heatsinks etc etc?

It was very easy to do. I did a thread on it in the diy section. Used everything just added a heat sink and attached the cobs then attached the wiring

Which spectrum cobs did you use? Phone won't let me get to the diy section atm

3500k is what I used. And they did a great job
I wonder if the heatsinks out of the old computers I fix up would work....
