I do....i am all about removing some leaves in the last part of flower...pretty much all plants i have grown seem to respond positively to it, especially shaded flower underneath fans. Better for fans to be gone in my opinion!!
That's what I was thinking as well. I've seen it done enough by others that I have a hard time thinking it's a bad thing. What I am most worried about it cutting the fans coming out of the buds.
And I should add, those are the very leaves that are shading other tops.
Those things have the energy the buds need, and its literally right where it is needed. I approach things from an engineering standpoint, so it is more than likely I am just overthinking this...
Consider defingering those where possible...that way the leaf stalk will stay living. I have cut leaves out several time...can be a bit tricky, as you need to get the leaf stalk cut close to the main stalk or the withering leaf stalk can cause mold.
