T minus one day and counting until trout fishing opener!! Unfortunately its going to be too chilly to go to my favorite spot

Nobody asked? Too chilly to go to the favorite spot? My fav spot is a 5 mile walk through realllllly rough country to get to the waterfall and another 5 miles to walk out. Most of the time you are waking through knee high water(sometimes tickling nut level), and with this late entry to spring the water will be very cold...i would expect ice all over the place in the river. The country is too rough to wear hip waders, so if you want to brave the river you must be prepared to get wet!!

Many a day I have spent on the Beaver River up by Thornbury fishing for bows and that hybrid speckle / laker cross . The Good Old Days before life got so complex .

Yeah nothing broken. Won't be doing much besides hobbling between the kitchen and bedroom until tomorrow. Thankfully I got all my work done last night, so I can take a day to heal up without aggravating things much.

morning fellas. What a day. I got big work project half done today and it's just 10 am. I got till 4 to finish. My boss wanted a pollinator collection on a pin board. I grabbed a pal and went bug hunting last week, got about 50 of em. Pinned em onto some foam today, and I just have to figure out how the hell to ID them and tag em, and I'm done. Some pretty sweet overtime.
