I only recommend what I use, That catches fish. Top shelf of my tacklebox is the "I wonder if the bass are biting today" lures.

These two are my "hail mary" lures for crappie lol

...when nothing else works, and it's hot as balls outside, I'll throw the lizard on and let him drift around...

There's an obsession with large mouth bass south of the border that I don't understand other than the fact that they have a lot of money available in tournaments , because largemouth bass are the worst eating fish in the world and by mid summer their as wormy as can be . gag Not on my plate ,sooner eat perch or crappies than bass .

Ive rarely had fresh fish though.... I will eat the stuff, but only if I'm on the coast. I had a decent catfish last week though, it was the special at my soul food joint on date night.

I'll eat catfish as well . Cooked properly it's like chicken . I used to live close to a fine Mohawk lady that just loved me to death when I would come home with catfish for her . Deep fried in a beer batter to die for .
