There's one on amazon or ebay (memory's shite this morning) for $325 after shipping. It's not Gavita, But it's apparently American made and ships from a green state.
It's cost roughly matches the 4 pack of cobs with shipping lol.
Has anyone in here actually completed a grow with a LEP? If so, What was the yield in comparison to your regular lighting?

I know of one who's used LEP - but it's not really a fair comparison, as he was a hydro master, and had loads of other lights (including HPS, LED) and used the gravita as supplemental (but over one plant).

Mr Ganjamoto (in the dutch passion stickies) :

Question of the day for when I get new lights: Which would be better for a 4'x4'x7' tent... Plasma or COB lighting? It seems the LEP is higher on the...one rating thing where they compare it to sunlight... From what I've read anyway.
BigSmo is very personable, Which is different from a lot of vendors, which would automatically make me order from him, But if the plasmas have a higher index rating thingy, and are equal or close in electrical efficiency, I'll probably go for LEP.
Thoughts?
What rating/metric is that? I heard the one that compares to the sun that's on a 100 scale, you actually rather be closer to 80 than 100. And what's the color spectrum on those LEPs?

Yep.
That grow is why I joined afn lol.
I've actually read a lot of "so what, you could throw that strain in a dark corner and piss on it once a week and get a pound" sentiments on other forums. That quote may have come from afn, actually lol.
I'm curious what a LEP would do in a 4x4, over a single plant. Actually... I'll replicate my Gorilla Glue4 grow, except it'll be under a LEP instead of a COB and LED...
Once I get the money lol.

That's my own personal "Holy f@ck...A GG4 wake and bake makes me forgetful as hell" rating/scale.
I haven't looked into the spectrum on them yet, honestly. Once I think about blowing cash on them seriously, I'll do a lot more research into them.

Morning folks:smokeout:

I run cobs in that same tent....:pass:
Right now I'm just running my cheapo amazon 6 cob light to see what it does at this stage of growth, in comparison to what my cheapo amazon blurple did. My poor northern lights ((I've experimented on her since germ)) seems to be enjoying it, and my Audrey2 and Blackberry Kush seedlings seem to be enjoying it. My pepper plants do not look like they're liking it at all, Though, But they're going in the ground this week after my wife gets her new to her SUV.

In my opinion....the great thing about auto cobs is that they are stand alone lights, and there is a much better spread than with a single point light....like a bulb (of what ever type you end up with) or a big LED panel. When I had the blurple light in there....the plants directly under it did very well, while the edges suffered (the edges got used for germing seedlings...the light was very week in the outer foot of the tent). :2cents:

Yes there is a chemical that Cannabis will release i cant remember the name. This happens during photosynthesis outdoors for many plants 12x12 indoor, and my theory is that with 'some" automatics dropping the light schedule down in "late" bloom I see "fatter" mature flowers but not every auto behaves this way some will just be done at day 75. If you have a late bloomer and you can drop the light to allow that chemical to secrete its my opinion that autoflowers can bloom much more..

Good to see you @Vapo69 :passit:
Yo Elvis....i had to shoot out dude......good to see you too:pass:now i got to go to my happiness garden brb lol

That's actually why I added the cheapo COB to my LED grow. Seemed like that thing only had a useful footprint of about 30".
