I fucking LOVE winter driving!!!!! It's a shame that 90% of the population around here drives in it regularly, but still sucks at it.. One of my favorites is to bone-cruise right after a fresh snow fall.. I LOVE driving the road before they've been plowed or treated.. Lots of serenity.. Mostly because no one is out..

You should see some of the roads we take to my buds cabin 10 hours north...one road is about 60 miles of nothing but a double lane road weaving side to side and up and down with 20 foot high snowdrifts on each side....I always said blocked at each end it would be a rally driving paradise(well a quick short rally race)

Have you ever been to New Hampshire?? There's a road called the Kankamangus Highway, which is across the White Mountains in NH.. The road is amazing with the views as you're pretty much on some roads in between mountains... Yeah, it's not the Rockies, but I'll be damned if you could find a better "Road Rally" in the North East.... If you ever get a chance, you don't need to be doing 80mph like we were, but definitely worth a checking out!!!!

On a side note, in an unsanctioned way, we used to do a "all or nothing" race down the Kankamangus... Amazing ride, but holy shit, it can be scary if it's not dry..

Well the drifts are only 20 feet high, due to the 20 foot road being cleared and it building up. Actually snow level up there would be 4-5 feet generally in early march(depends on the year though, sometimes less if its been an early entry to spring)
