Any indoor fruit tree growers on here that know of good sources of info for that hobby? Wondering if there's kind of an AFN equivalent for container fruit tree growing out there somewhere. :smoking:
YouTube has some good vids. And Google I have found good info as well .

I'd probably check out a thread like that if there was one. We have a lemon tree in the solarium [southeast alaska] that just finished a set of a dozen or so juicy lemons. It is a total disaster as far as training goes lol. I really want to get a lime tree going but I killed the first one.

We've got a big, open high ceiling living room in the rental house out in Vegas that should have a good mix of indirect and direct sunlight throughout the day. Between my housemates hangups with cannabis, landlords rules, and the "have to live more than 25 miles from a store to grow your own" law in Nevada I can't grow Mary Jane, so was thinking of repurposing some of the fabric pots for something else and the idea of small fruit trees in that room crossed my mind today. Don't have much furniture to fill it with, so will have lots-o-space for a few larger containers. Thinking maybe an orange, lemon, and maybe something like pears or avocados would be fun to try out. :smoking:

So would I... @Ozone69 gave me an amazing idea. I have a pretty decent amount of land that nobody is using. I tried growing veggies out there last year, only to suddenly become a buffet for the deer. Fruit trees would work if I can get them mature enough so the deer don't just bite them in half.. Plus they'll eat the fruit that falls on the ground. So it would be mutually beneficial. Plus the flowers would help out the bees in the spring. I am definately going to look into this too,

I just got a lemon myself. Just a baby. They are kinda hard to find around here. I ended up with a seedling for ten bucks and it came in the mail with half it's leaves gone and the roots exposed and dry. I've managed to get it looking something mostly green, but no new growth yet after a month. I may move it to the grow room for a while and see if more light can get her started.

I would think they are pretty hardy seedlings. Otherwise what are the odds it survives through enough seasons before it gets very big...

I was surprised at how well this lemon would put out...this was it's 3rd time I guess in as many years.
