I see a lot of grows here with all the fan leaves removed at some point during flower. I understand why it's done, but I am curious if it's always a good idea, or do certain strains not play well with that technique.
I can see there would be a dramatic increase to light reaching lower budsites, and I am keen to give it a go.

hey mike.......i usually do a major clean up about the 3rd week of flower...i take all the biggest fans and any potential shaders....some folk lollipop.....me, I like to leave some solar panels lol....the idea is when she "crowns" she will put more into producing buds instead of upkeep of unnecessary/shaded leaves....

Good points.. Thanks for that. I'll take a conservative approach, and I can definitely identify some leaves that really aren't getting any light anyway.

not a problem mate......be careful coz its easy to chop too many!!....you can always take more but you cant put back.......i take 3 and turn the pot a quarter and repeat lol.....it works lol
