thank you Hairyman I have a seed stockers white widow auto going and it is quite the size she is noticeably bigger then the others. Here she is I will pull it out I need to update my journal. It is the first plant with the nice size cola.

Closer to @hairyman than to me then. But thinking about it, it's more likely we'd meet up closer to your place than mine!

Eh... this winter was pretty horrible, then snow in March was just taking the pee. Hubby's had lots of nasty twinges and disrupted sleep. We've survived, but more than a few times we've said "it's too bloody cold, what are we doing here". Hubby said if it had been snowing last year when we came back that he'd have just got the next flight back out! It's been wonderful this past week though, the first time we've had Tenerife-type weather and it's done my soul good.

I'd love to go somewhere warmer permanently, but it'll be a while before we can even consider it. Unless I was to get a job out there, of course. I wonder how competent my Spanish would need to be to work for one of the breeders? That's my sort of job. Anyone know how I can get into that?

Oh I knew you were hoping to sprout the turmeric, but I meant when you had it growing well. You definitely have a way with plants, I hope I get enough of a green thumb to follow a little way in your footsteps one day!
