im going to do another vid just for you in a while. Ive been taking leaves off and tying down to optimize light.........shes a beauty

All these little DWC grows are more and more making me think of using my lettuce DWC for some herbs next time around.
Though I don't like the idea of having to get too many more types of hydro fert. My Peters 15-5-15 CaMg may just have to suffice.

There is drift wood, and I've put eucalyptus leaves and gumnuts in there but she won't push down.

The filter I have is huge (tank it 160liters, filter can do 10,000..) so I suspect it's the 2 bacteria that convert poo to N having a massive party and nothing able to push them a bit out of their comfort zone. Early days when I did some aquaponic growing I could manage it down ok. Perhaps less 'seasoned' back then.

I also might have stressed him forcing it down with vinegar until I gave up as it wasn't working, so there was a period of swing.

Not looking for world's best grow from the little aquaponic tent, just some seeds and crosses, and I'd prefer the pollen produced and stored before I move and can set up my main grow area again..

WHY give up ??take out all rocks just use drift wood get some bristlenose cat fish or a couple of sailfin catfish (they grow big) will give you soft water but should lower ph
Ill get the name of the wood i used to ya when i find it

try it.........ive grown 8 oz plants with miraclegrow and all sorts of other shit .if its not going to work you can tell in 2 or 3 days

Have a sucker catty and 2 comets.

While I'm pretty urban, not far is some Sweetwater streams holding wild trout and natives, need to do some research and take my pH kit and collect some wetted wood and rocks etc. Looking to get some soil also to use with @hecno s living soil. Have a few spots sussed out so until the tank is stable I'll stand down on burning more seeds on the aquaponic rig

mate dont know much about hydro but used to breed L no catfish which needed ph water to around 6 using the timber with no rocks is how i fixed the problem
