I know what you mean...mine did that a bit at first...the new leaves would grow and wrap around the top node, and block the light....I let it go for a while, because it was kind of like topping itself...It started shooting tops up to make up for it. I just did some leaf tucking to encourage that....and when it looked like a good amount of tops....I started peeling those leaves away from the nodes that were getting covered, sometimes twice a day until she recovered. If she would have fattened up it would have been awesome. Even the way she turned out it was about 3 ounces or so. Looking back....She could have benefited from a little defol about the second week of flower....just to get light deeper into the canopy.
