When I put silica and cal-mag in, mine'll settle around 5.98-6.05. I'm not complaining, because I hate having to mess with the orange or blue shit to get the ph within an acceptable range.

when my ph pen broke i dint bother replacing it.......i found a dodgy chinese seller on ebay with a suspect advert for litmus paper...........after a couple of well worded emails to ebay i ended up with a shitload of it..........and i tear them in half.....

Hell yeah.
I'm a bit of a klutz, and tend to drop things at inopportune times, So I bought a couple cheap ph pens from amazon. Brand name is something like "Vantacool or Vantakool".
Does the job, and doesn't kill my wallet when I drop one in the mix jug or toilet (don't ask).
