Outdoor Critical Ogre & Onyx Outdoor

Thanks! I bought the Critical Ogre seeds and recieved an Onyx seed as a freebie. I was looking for sativa dominant seeds (which for some reason isn't as popular/available as indica strains?) and ended up with the Critical Ogre, which was on sale. As this is my first grow, I didn't want to spend too much on seeds.

I am continuously reading, trying to get tips and more information on how to keep the plants happy. This is why I am adding as much detail as I can remember to this growlog for future grows and improving on them. AFN has so many users and information which really makes me more confident in a successful grow!

Day 7 above soil. Removed the humidity dome and gave both water, about 1.5L each

I noticed the last two days, as soon as
they receive direct sunlight, the leaves start pointing upwards.

From what I read, I shouldn't be worried about nutrient deficiencies or any other fault, as they are happy and this only occurs after they receive direct sunlight, which people are saying that the leaves are trying to receive more light or due to the turgidity.

One of the single most impressive plants I've ever seen was the Critical Ogre green75 grew a couple of years ago. It's a really solid strain.

I have had pretty good results with Onyx, although I've only gotten one female out of 4 plants (I bought regs on purpose). It was a healthy sativa leaning hybrid, a little diesel and a nice smoke. It survived some brutal heat.

That's what Iike to hear, thanks Archaic! Both seeds are feminised.

We have some hot temperatures this week, today was 36C, rest of week averaging day/night 32C/18C.

3rd set of leaves just starting to show, gave them 1L of 1/4 strength Biogrow (4-3-6). Only gave 1L as the soil was not bone dry (Previous watering 2 days ago with 2L water).

Soil is nice and cool and with this high heat thought it would be much drier.

One of the second set of leaves of the Critical Ogre is much smaller than the opposite one. I read that this is a mutation in the genetics and can be due to breeding practices. Not really sure if this will have an impact on the grow?

This weekend I will be moving them to a sunnier spot. Initially I thought they were getting 7hours direct sunlight but it is more like 4 hours. The new spot in my garden recieves 7hours, timed it on Sunday.

@912GreenSkell read your guides, wow, great stuff, thank you for taking the time to spread the knowledge! I am definitely trying training with my next grow (still have 2 x seeds left of the Critical Ogre). Maybe I'll do a side by side grow, Training vs Natural. I have read many such comparison grows, but as you know it is much more exciting and educational when doing it yourself.

Hey...i have grown autos in limited light very similar to your situation a number of times. Growing in limited light is challenging. Buds often lack density(not always though), but if you grow well, its possible to pull 4 ounces out of the biggest autos available. On smaller strains the goal should be 1.5oz, if you grow them well. Good luck!

Both plants has white spots on the leaves, did I quick internet search (which suggested spider mites) and inspected the plants with a magnifier and definetly saw one running up the stem.

I mixed up some Bioneem and sprayed the top and bottom of the leaves as well as over the top of the soil. I think I'll spray them once a week for the rest of the grow.

Day 14 above soil, fed 4.5L to each, 2ml/l, dose indicated as 2 - 4ml/l, which caused runoff, figured the added sunlight (moved them today to more sun exposure) will evaporate more, will monitor the next few days to see what the water consumption is and if the [nutes] are acceptable.

Should I be saturating the soil with each watering? Been giving them 1L every second day and they seem happy, just thought I would give them a good watering after the last few days of 30C+.

Sprayed plants and and surrounding with Bioneem and manually removing any spider mites as I see them. There are some lady bugs in the garden, I'll see if I can put one or two on the plants for extra measure tomorrow.
