Your Sour Livers looks good, did you do anything different to your soil mix? I wouldn’t be quick to add Dolomite Lime, I’ve seen another grow go completely sideways from that. I believe dolomite lime takes a long time to break down and be available for nutrient uptake. In my mind you need to adjust your feed pH up higher than normal range for soil so that it brings the medium pH up. Soil pH should be around 6.8 or so. Does that make sense?
I think you can use baking soda in your water to raise ph, this works way quicker then lime apparently but I grow in DWC so know nothing about soil lol but check out this article!

@the_stonedturtles

I read that dolomite lime can really mess ph. With the set up I have, I chopped Sour Crack at Day 63 and have 202 grams in brown bag drying.

I have found over the years you always check ph regardless of what the folks tell u

If you have a pH Up product, that would be the quickest and safest way to increase you pH. You can find it at hardware stores, garden centres, or hydroponics shops. Even if it’s just water you give the plants be sure to check and adjust the pH of the water every time. Also, do you know how hard your water is? Do you use a ppm or EC meter?
I don’t know how much knowledge you have in regards to growing cannabis so I am asking these questions so that I can gather more info to help. I am not trying to question your knowledge or abilities, I only want to help you grow some herb so please don’t get miffed if I’m asking questions that appear that way.

At this point I would only feed pH’d water and no foliar sprays for now. PH your next watering going in at pH 7.0. This should help to straighten out the pH of the medium into a range that the plant can uptake water and nutrients already in the soil. As already mentioned FFOF has had some pH instability issues and can be too hot for new plants. I believe your soil pH is way too low for cannabis and that’s why you’re having issues.

I have hard water. High in magnesium and calcium. So I don’t know why I seem to be having problems. It must be the pH of the soil. I do have pH up and down and have been using them to adjust to 6.5pH. I do have a ppm and EC meter but haven’t been using it since I don’t exactly know what to be looking for. Most information I find or am told is about photoperiods and I would assume there are slight differences? I will try going in with a plain watering with 7.0pH next time and see what happens. Also about the soil for the Sour Livers I used FFOF mixed 50/50 with Sun Gro Sunshine Mix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG]. I am also using pure Sun Gro Sunshine Mix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] on my 3 Skywalkers I just started as well. Much higher perlite content and I am pretty sure quite a bit less nutrients then the FFOF. Here are some picture updates of the Sour Cracks and the girl of Sour Livers along with a picture of one of the babies of Skywalker.

They look good @the_stonedturtles. Try the pH 7.0 for the oldest girls. I thought there was something different with the Sour Livers seedling. You’ve made the medium a bit more mild by cutting the FFOF and likely removed some of the pH issues they’re having with that soil. Besides adding bacteria and/or fungi to the Sour Livers medium it should have enough nutrients in the soil to keep it going for a couple weeks at least. When you start feeding it just use about 1/4 strength of what your nute bottles say to use. Check the pH and ppm of the solution after mixing and record them both.

The ppm (or EC) just tells you how concentrated your solution of nutes is. Autos can be a bit sensitive to nutes and many (not all) believe less is more when it comes to feeding, you just need to either follow a set schedule or read the plant for its needs. Hard water can be difficult to manage as it can add variables to your grow. Because it has lots of calcium and magnesium doesn’t mean it’s bioavailable for the plant depending on its form. If you find that you continue to have issues using that water source, you may want to either use distilled or RO water for your grows. For now I would take a ppm and pH of your tap water and record it for reference (it will also change through the seasons).

The Sungro medium looks promising. It looks like it’s is well draining and peat based, I would consider it a soiless medium which means it won’t have too much for nutrients. So, you will need to feed nutes sooner and more regularly to the plants in that medium. Your Skywalker looks perfect! I have one at about 25 days old now. When you start feeding it just use 1/4 strength of recommended and record the ppm.
You’re going to do great, keep it up!

Pics of chopped Sour Crack

Should be good enough for jars this evening. I will check the weight and post

@Beerhunter CDN Gave the two girls of Sour Crack their 7.0pH watering yesterday around 7pm. Tested the water before at 135ppm. The run off of the larger girl was at 493ppm and 4.8pH and the smaller girl was sitting at 310ppm and 5.1pH. I am using cloth pots so I have a hard time making it not leak out the sides. Makes it a little harder to know how accurate my readings are. I am wondering if it might be time to start adding nutrients? Though I am concerned of a nutrient lockout because of my soil pH. @Jackson those nugs looks beautiful. Hope something I grow will that looks that good.

I think the problem you have is pH and not so much nute buildup. You could give them weak feeds again of say 1/4 strength but make sure you pH up again to help correct the low pH. On the watering after that weak one, just use pH’d water without nutes but again you’ll need to keep the pH of the water higher.

Forgot to mention....water slowly especially when you first start to water her or the water will run down the sides of the pot and not get soaked into the soil.

@the_stonedturtles @Beerhunter CDN i keep my nutes and distilled water at 6.5ph and never have a problem.

Here’s a pic of mephistos blue toof special phen at 59 days from sprout. New strain for me. Buds are weird looking

Enjoy
