I gave the larger girl 2 1/2 cups and the smaller girl 2 cups. I will make sure to start watering further away from the plant itself and more towards the edges of the pot. When I open up the tent next I will snip off any the overly damaged leaves. Really appreciate the help.
No problem @the_stonedturtles , that’s why we’re all here, success in growing an amazing plant with people that want to see that success for others.

You mentioned starting with 5 plants, do you have room for more plants now? What will you run on your second round?

I attempted 4 Sour Livers about a week ago. Only one of the seeds ended up working out. I soaked my soil waited 24 hours and then used siran wrap over top. Sowed the seed 1 cm deep under my lights around 80F. Guess they couldnt handle the humidity for that length of time it took. The one seed that worked popped at about 4 days. Will be starting some Skywalker or Sour Orange Diesel Kush next. I also have some more Sour Crack and Sour Livers incase it would be easier to just stick with strains of similar size. I have a veg and a flower tent both 4x4. So I have some room to work with. The one girl of Sour Crack has made her way to the flower tent already. I ended up trimming her leaves last night. She is already leeching out of her next set. At least more leaves keep coming. Here’s a picture of the Sour Livers girl and some updates of the Sour Crack girls from today.

I have several sour crack grows under my belt so here it goes.

Platinum 300 led - 30 inches above during veg
Cal mag and grow nutes until stretch stops. Then cal mag and bloom nutes through week 8. Plain water heavy flush once then chop at 60 - 65 days. Usually end up with 40 to 50 grams dry weight

@Jackson thanks for the reply. I have raised my lights in my veg and flower tent to 30”. What height would you recommend for flowering? I am nervous about adding nutrients since my soil is overly rich. Which medium would you suggest I use for my next attempt?

I use coco coir as my grow medium which comes with its own set of rules from soils. Many use Biobizz soils amended with perlite. It’s considered a soiless medium (if that makes sense) so it has a bit of nutes to get a seed going but it needs regular feeding after that. There’s a lot to know about these plants to get them through to a decent harvest. I found it overwhelming to know what to do when the plants struggled as there are many theories and practices used by many successful growers. I give you credit for your perseverance, have some rep!

@the_stonedturtles i keep my lights about 15” above during flowering. I have been using Advanced Nutrients Iguana Grow, Bloom and Cal Magic. Good stuff but expensive as hell. I’m no expert but have had good success with Sour Crack. I have also noticed that Mephisto seeds finish very fast. Research this and many will agree.

@Jackson alright I have lowered my flowering leds to about 17” above and will keep in mind about root organic. I think it may be available here. @Beerhunter CDN will also consider adding some extra perlite to whatever soil I get next to add extra drainage. Also heard dolamite lime can help with buffering the soils ph? Might grab some of that as well. Gave the girls about 3L of magnifical mix the other day and they seem to be handling it alright. I made sure to water to the edges of the pot. I checked my run off after and my mix went from 6.5 to 4.7. I have heard of it dropping but this seems a little to much. That’s why I am considering the dolomite lime. Anyways the larger girl of Sour Crack still seems to be having some difficulty. While I have yet to have to trim a leaf on the smaller of the two. Here are some picture updates along with the Sour Livers. I feel the Sour Livers is doing very well for 10 days above soil.

Your Sour Livers looks good, did you do anything different to your soil mix? I wouldn’t be quick to add Dolomite Lime, I’ve seen another grow go completely sideways from that. I believe dolomite lime takes a long time to break down and be available for nutrient uptake. In my mind you need to adjust your feed pH up higher than normal range for soil so that it brings the medium pH up. Soil pH should be around 6.8 or so. Does that make sense?
