I have had to make some changes, namely I have changed from Pro-mix ultimate to Pro-mix BX and I will not be using superthrive this time. Cream of the crop said this girl would leave me drooling, we will see. The only difference between the two Pro-mixs that I can see is the BX has no marine compost. I will have to play with my feeding schedule I guess. The tent is 2'X3'X5' with a 6 inch duct booster extraction fan and carbon filter, a 6 inch clip-on circulating fan, one old Mars 100X3 led, four 4' T5's, and 1 seed in a 5 gallon airpot. The seed will get planted later tonight after it sinks to the bottom of the glass and stays there for a while. Nutes are Advanced cal/mag+, trio, microbrew, kangaroots, Bembe, beastie bloomz, cha-ching, sledgehammer. If I can get this Pro-mix to work my soil cost for the year will go from over $300 to less than $50. Why didn't I see this before? I reuse the soil for potted flowers outside and to raise the soil around my house so it wasn't a waste but was costly.

This may not be day one. The seed is up but the first leaves seem dead or bleached out, see pics. The stem seems good and the color looks alright. Things should improve by tonight I hope. Led is at 16 inches.

Things have improved, the first leaves are now looking almost right. I can't remember a plant starting like this, but I have only been growing for four years.It will be interesting to see if the next one starts the same as this seed.

Day 5 and the plant is doing well after 2 quarts of 4ml per gallon of Advanced cal/mag extra. The leaves are a bit ugly but growth and color are good. The circulating fan is on low and the T5's have been changed from 10,000k to 6,400k veg and the led is at 18 inches.

This medium seems to dry faster than what I expect, so today the plant got a gallon of 2.5ml grow big, 5ml kangaroots, 5ml microbrew and 5ml big bloom at 6.1ph.

Day 12 and things are going well, growth and color are very good. Today was the first full feeding of 8ml cal/mag extra (4-0-0) per gallon, two gallons at 6.2ph, and about two quarts was runoff. Led is at 20 inches.

Day 18 and this girl is doing very good so far. Growth and color continue to look good and the stem development is very good. Today she got 2 gallons of 10ml big bloom, 5ml grow big and 5ml microbrew per gallon at 6.2 ph. The medium is still at about 5.8 ph and the led is at 20 inches. The rapid spread and branch growth is impressive. I am glad that I have two more of these beans to play with this year.

Day 25 and while not the best looking plant I have ever grown this girl is growing, 15 inches with a good spread and bud sites. I don't think this plant likes a lot of nutes. Last Thursday she got 2 gallons of 8ml cal/mag extra (4-0-0) per gallon at 6.1 ph. Today she got 2 gallons of 10ml big bloom, 5ml grow big, 5ml kangaroots and 5ml microbebrew per gallon at 6.2 ph. Tips of new growth are a little yellow and limp, maybe nothing. New growth has been different since the beginning, I need to grow another soon. The led is at 18 inches.

Day 28 and this girl is now almost 21 inches and the bud sites are developing quickly. She still has the ugly new growth but the color is good. The plant still doesn't need any branch support and her canopy is staying even. I expect vertical growth to stop in a week or so and have tied the led to the top rails at 20 inches. I can still raise another 4 inches or so because the carbon filter is on the outside of the tent. Today she got 2 gallons of cal/mag, 10 ml per gallon at 6.1 ph, run-off was 5.8 ph.
