Lighting CobShop picture thread Bring on the beauty!

Here is the spectrum chart from citizen. The difference seems small on the chart but there is actually a very noticeable difference between them. Each spectrum gives nearly the same amount of light so what we see on the graph is less blue, green, yellow and orange is made up for in red with an even amount.

This may seem like a dumb question...but why are your cobs so high above your plants? I have mine about 19" from my "canopy" of clones right now...started at 30 with 2 cobs, went down to 24 with 3 cobs then with 4 cobs...now im at ~19" with no issues. I understand to get them a bit higher to get more light distributed but in the pics they look like 2+ ft. I guess im just not used to cobs yet and still used to growing HPS style

I am testing running my COB's higher on the recommendation of a fellow grower. I was running mine in the 14-16 inch range before. Now doing 30" from the canopy.

No joke. Most of the strains I've grown so far with cobs have needed to be high. Two plants that are in their last weeks I decided to put the reflectors on for the duration. They are at 28" & 30" at the moment and the leaves scream at me and throw rotten food at me if I lower. Next I will try no reflectors for veg and reflectors for flowering. Maybe reverse after this grow just to see what occurs. I'm still learning with cobs.

If you're growing in a tent it's better to not use the reflectors. This way you get more light bouncing off the walls etc. Download a cheap lux meter app for your phone and you can take reading and see what a difference it makes.

:)

I got mine around 29 inches and they seem to like it there and I'm trying to figure out the sweet spot some strains like it closer and others like it higher...

I Grow also with COB LED and cant be happier... I usw 2 Pieces with 3000k each is that good for Vege ore 3500k better for completly Life cyckle? My Plants looking great so i think 3000k is also great for vege but the Graphic shows 4000k is the best for Vege but not for Flower so maybe 3500k is the best??? I have 2 TGL Star 55 Watt in my 60x60x160cm tent and i Harvest so 1-1,2g/W... I can order 1 COB LED more with 3500k what you think?
