Yeah man generator is a must where I live. I’m pretty much at the end of the line. Any power interruption and I’m the last one back on. I’ve gone 13 days without power. House is wired for a generator but I have to start it up and switch it over. But one plug and the whole house has power. Would recommend having one for sure.

This is exactly what I have going. Smaller generator but that’s changing rather quickly. It seems efi- electronic fuel injection is starting to make progress in the small engine world. The thing that gets me about portable generators is they run wide open the whole time they are on. Such a waste of fuel in my opinion.

We use the Honda EU inverter models. With fuel prices like ours it's worth the extra investment

Q for you, @BigSm0

I have a blooming blurple (210W draw) that has a couple more years on it, and a tight budget. I would like to use the gear until it dies. I grow in a tiny 2x2 foot tent and have between 1 and 4 plants.

My questions are whether I could get a COB to use during veg, then supplement with blurple during bloom? Or run both for the full life cycle?

Also, are there going to be significant advances next year with new models, that are worth waiting for...

Excellent! I hope they grow you lbs of the finest.
Me too! I'm looking for a way to work them into a 2x2.5x4'11" tent where I have a 4 light Citizen 1212 CLU048 framework in place. Trying to kill dead spaces all the while trying keep my temps in line. Should let me have a lot of versatility to my setup. I'm also happy to support another AFN member, grow on Brother!

What your doing with 210 watts can be done with around 30%-40% of that wattage in cobs. You will have less heat, less draw and a light that’s guaranteed. I know the blurple is paid for but it’s actually costing you more to run and that’s not free. I don’t foresee any changes to the Autocob. I’m limited with what I can do as they are really so simple. Also if a new cob does come out there is always the possibility to upgrade the cob alone. The heatsink and driver can remain. The citizen clu-048-1812 I use is the version 6 which is recently released.

Are you guys doing anything for Black Friday?
I was actually wondering earlier if people were preparing for a Black Friday sale. This has been a super slow week. Yes! Today I brought in help and we just wrapped up a 14 hour light building marathon. I am preparing for 2 more long days in preparation for the discounts coming.

I could use another autocob too..
