To anyone who is growing in the light battle, maybe this isn’t the best way to describe it. Seed battle doesn’t fit since there is a thread for every strain. Idk it’s way to confusing for me.
Anyways if someone is in the battle and not using AutoCobs...


No really if you are in the battle and don’t have Autocobs and want some please send me a DM. I will discount your order. If it’s possible to switch mid grow I will discount them even more.

Sorry for the question if its a repeat.. didn't want to go through a 112 pages of posts....

Question : What would you recommend for starting a dozen plants photo/auto to germ/veg them for outdoors 2-4wk's later?
Motive: I want to get a head start this year on my outdoor grow so I can fit in 4 grows this year outdoors....
Thought: I'm thinking a single 3500k light would be enough for this...

3500 will work no problem,if you are just starting them with a little veg time before they go outdoors I'd put them under a 6500..How big is the space? A single cob will start them but in my opinion with 12 plants 2-4 weeks under one cob, that 1 light wouldn't be nearly enough..They would start stretching and leaning towards where that light was hanging..Especially the plants on the outside of that light's spread.

It would never happen unfortunately. Cobshop is to busy to let the growers go wild. Can blame it on the mars combo but that’s really a foolish excuse to turn a cob grow battle to a light battle. Can anyone explain how to grow without a light? There shouldn’t be a light battle at all until someone can solve this mystery.

It should have been left alone imo and led changed to blurple battle. 95% of the ''led'' in the battle were just smaller cob chips. LED is technically the diodes with clear domes over bulbs. So really it was a COB/LED battle.

Some people were using more than just one type of light. Then complained, more complained. The winners type of light will be posted. I totally agree, but it had such a stink raised, this was the best way to focus a battle so it was about what type lighting wins.

IMO it was a bad day for mods and instead of asking what would work best for everyone it was changed to make it easier. Mossy asked and 3 posts later it was changed before anyone could say otherwise. My comment of changing it to blurple and all others fall under COB was liked by many here. Really that's what it was all about. The blurple battle would have made several happy while still keeping cobs separate. This would have been the biggest year for COB lighting. I saw 6 different styles of COBs and after all the smack talk about lights here that battle would have really showcased the new style of lighting and seemed like there were more in for a cob battle than led also. Another thing that bothered me is general battle is exactly the same as lighting battle. I feel like I'm doing 2 battles against the same people with the same lights.

I totally agree. But in the end I'm guessing the cobs will win over the others, unless some genetics show a beast plant. I use both types right now, but the autocobs have made the most dense bud I have ever grown.
