RicanBlazer:

I have always had a problem deciding when the buds are dry enough to jar for curing. then I hit on this idea. I have many inexpensive hygrometers to put in the jars to keep an eye on the moisture level during the cure. I decided that I would buy one expensive one and do this: throw a couple of buds in a jar off the drying rack with that good hygrometer. When that thing sits a 60% after 30 minutes they are ready. Takes the guess work out of the equation.

Good idea. Which one do you recommend? Sounds like a good investment

If left to dry for too long does it affect the final product in any negative way?

Just noticed this thread today and spent most of it reading the entire thing...
Great work with the grows - all look excellent.
It was difficult, but I made my choices and voted.

Good luck to all!

You read the whole thing! Are you stoned or what? That is really a rhetorical question on this site:baked:.

Thanks for voting. We all worked hard and pushed the girls to their limits.

This is the one I use Hygrometer. Yes, overdrying slows down curing from weeks to months. Using Boveda 62% packs helps speed this back up but it still takes a little longer to get the best results.

Weeks to months....damn. I will have to work on more patience , I usually smoke most of mine before it properly cures anyways. I will check that hygrometer out, thank you
