this has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find a definite answer.when comparing city water vs clean tap water. Ive noticed while using hydroponics and aero-cloning, the city water stays 'algae' free better and longer. also Ive noticed the root structures tend to stay 'cleaner'.

when using micro and microbe nutrients does the chlorine kill the microbe?

when using city water with chlorine, does it affect the plant at all?

Could be the residual chlorine causing the 'algea free'. Heat promotes algea growth too. Evidently you have a wonderful set up! I 've always let my water stand to allow evaporation of the chlorine. Live in sm. rural area...water is from a water source nearby....chlorinated....but adjust pH, then I stir with drill attachment to induce a little extra oxygen, then water. Microbes might be affectled slightly. Try letting water stand overnight or 24 hrs, then see what difference it makes.

If you are using tap water, let it sit out for at least 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate.
