Iv been looking at lots of LEDs on the market and came across this company in china,Cidly..I noticed there Apollo range looks very similar to a lot of the newer panels hitting the market with pretty similar descriptions too.i emailed them and asked for a little more info.they use epistar 3w chips,as do other companies selling similar products and the specs do seem ok.i still have a few more questions for them regarding spectrum but I hope to here back off them soon.one more thing I asked was the price of the Apollo 6,it would be advertised as a 270w (90x3w) but the draw is 198-209 on there site http://www.cidly.com/html/en/led-lights-1126-detail.html in the uk iv seen the same looking panel for £320 and iv seen some US companies selling at $400.i got a quote of $209 for that panel and I bet they would go a little cheaper.shipping & vat is the killer and ramps up the price.im interested to find out how similar there specs are to the companies selling for more money.hopefully I'll find out

see if they will use 660nm red leds. some companies call it deep red but i think it is an important one. it's pretty much right at the peak of the red band. my first led panel used 630nm led and i didn't think much of it.

Man those apollo's are new with them. They didn't have those up just a couple months ago. Freakin' A I want that apollo 20... would go perfect over my rails.

That's a good point snooch and I'll ask in my next email if custom specs are available, well spotted mate.deep red is a must..I get the impression they build everything themselves so if they could do that,at the prices the sell at the may be worth a shot.

@ medicine man they do look shit hot, that Apollo 20 is a beast and if the specs are right would be an awesome panel

Redeye this looks like the penetrator and the fero leds. So we all know that the leds are made by 3 to 4 different companies in china and then branded for the company that actually sells them. The x series is made in China and assembled in the usa. So if you find the company that makes that specific led you can get a hell of a deal compared to the branded models! But also you are taking a huge risk buying them since there is no one to stand behind there product.

That's the thing mate, you get it dirt cheap but It's a pain if it needs a repair etc..the price has certainly caught my attention and like you say many of the us companies have theres made in china but assembled in the usa.if they could get the deep red in there like smooch says they could be an option.

info i saw on website said Reds is 630 and blue is 460 at a red to blue ratio of 2/1

sounds like wrong red and only two spectrums... think that info was from apollo 16
i'd stick with something more know and trusted but thats just me

guess i shouldn't really talk since i'm currently awaiting delivery for my new chrome series from blackstar lol, but even if that light is new blackstar has been used by many growers with success so i trust them

You guys checked this one out?

The guy who developed them lives down the street from me. I saw one up and it's bright as hell. Pure white colors, which is nice on the eye. He used to work for sunshine systems (I think thats the name) and kept telling them that they needed to expand the spectrums on the LED's. They didn't, so he started his own company doing that.

I saw these and wanted to get info on pricing and other things but the contact email didn't work for me,I'd defiantly like to know more about them

Yea, I even wrote to the guy on facebook and he hasn't responded to me. Kinda not diggin' the customer service aspect.
