Here's what I have noticed. I made a batch, ph'd to 6.5 and left it undisturbed in the bucket for 2 days. the ph had risen to 6.7 at 4 days still the same. I ph'd it back to 6.5 and it stayed there for a week in the bucket. So, I believe if staying at 6.5 ( or whatever you use ) seems important make your solution a couple days ahead of time, then adjust. I don't bother based on this anecdotal test. I may even get brave and venture a DWC grow with mega. I HATE DWC because of all the damned fussing trying to maintain PH and for a home grow, automation is too expensive.
then again, I love my auto pots! so the whole DWC thing may just never happen lol
Thanks again. When I was shopping the DWC was too expensive for me. Then I saw the autopots. They are so economical and so very easy to use and require MINIMAL care. I am hooked.:joy:.

My water comes out at 9.0 PH but zero EC. When I added the MC to 6 liter the PH dropped to 6.4. So I used it. All I have used it for is top feeding. I'll continue to see where the PH goes from here on other feedings/rez fill ups.

Mazar was my first autoflower test and i love this strain still today, autopots is the next grow system i wanna try after switched from soil to coco this year, maybe in january i'll do my first ap grow.
So teach me how u do!

watch here and follow @HemiSync and @pop22 and @Screwauger and all of the auto potheads. You will enjoy the ease and extra time to enjoy the grow.

@Nosias I’m running a cheap DWC system as an experiment right now. All in, I think I spent $15 for two complete buckets with an air pump and tubing. It is not a recirculating system. Just a simple bucket with a bubbler in it. You should give it a quick try.

It’s pretty simple aside from checking pH every day. I haven’t had to adjust my nutes yet. I’m using Mega Crop. Right after mixing, they come out at 5.9 and the most upward drift I’ve seen so far is 0.2. That’s not even enough for me to adjust anything. Then again, I’ve only gone through one res change so far. We’ll see if I’m singing the same tune in a month or so.

Sounds like you have a winner. I know you are growing well by your posts. Keep using what you are happy with. Glad to have another report that MegaCrop drops ph and keeps it in range.

The light comes from ChilLED Tech. I ran across this when I was watching Growmau5 on youtube. He was always explaining things and was really "digging" into what actually made his gardens grow. I never understood all of his discussions but he had me listening to him when ever he posted. So I came to trust his opinion as I have watched and listened to many here. Anyway he was really into heavy stuff about lighting and what makes a good/great LED. One time he had on Vitaly from ChilLED Tech and was really impressed with this light. Growmau5 then went to work for Vitaly and that is when I was getting ready to start my 1st grow. So I bought on trust and faith. BOY am I happy I did. I encourage all to take a look. They are not cheap in price to be clear. But it was one of my best purchase and I can not say enough.

I am so envious of that light. I had just finished my DIY cob fixture when the news of this light came out. I follow Growmau5 and he taught me a lot of what I know about LED lighting for cannabis. I it had come out 6 months sooner I would be growing with them. Hard to justify the expense when my COBs work so well.

DWC is my preferred method just behind organic live soil. Both of them don't work for me summer heat kills the DWC idea and I cannot lift a pot of soil with my bad back.

I will be doing Mega Crop with drip irrigation in Hugo rock wool cubes this time around. The fluctuation of PH in the reservoir is partially caused by the dissipation of calcium carbonate. Yes, aerating your water a couple of days before mixing and PHing your nutrients will help to stabilize the PH but 2 weeks is a long time to hope it remains in range.

Today is
Oct 9, 2018 2 weeks old

1. Dutch Passion: Cinderella Jack (Back left)
2. Dutch Passion: Mazar (Back center)

3. Fast Buds: Gorilla Glue (Back right)
4. Fast Buds: Girl Scout Cookies (front left)
5. Royal Queen: Royal Critical (front center)
6. Royal Queen: White Widow (front right)

The ladies are all looking great. It is 2 weeks today and they are growing nice. I hope in another week to turn on the air domes and the rez.

Yesterday I gave each of them a Liter of Mega Crop, 3.54 grams total for 6 liters. The EC was 320-330, PH was balanced to 6.3. My goal is to keep the bottom of the pot moist so the roots can start to grow on the bottom and find water. I like it when I see some water in the tray. Just enough to fill the center grove where it is lower than the rest of the tray.

I try to say good morning and good night to them. I then also quarter turn my pots each time I go into the tent. This way I feel they get the light from all directions. The light is still 36-40 inches from the top of the coco. Even my love of my life noticed they looked good. "Looks like you did not kill anything this time, they look good." Now I know all is well in the med tent.
Heres some pics.

Group.

@Nosias I've b
een derelict in my AFN duties the last few weeks, tried to go for a Fall season wilderness backpacking and trout fishing adventure but finally conceded to the rain and called it until next Spring. So maybe I can catch up on AFN now.
Just today I got your re-tag from a week ago, tha
nks for the invite & I'll be watching as your adventure unfolds. Only problem I can see developing... WTF you gonna do with all those jars? I'm buying stock in Ball Mason
:baked:

And watching to see how those strains do for you. With one exception, Dutch Passion has not been good to me - Blackberry Kush & Blue Auto Mazar were +- 4 oz. plants. Cinderella Jack was much kinder at 7oz., finished in 78 days and was some damned fine smoke. Mazar, I am told, is a huge yielder but her Blue hybrid sister sucked for me. Good smoke, rock hard buds but pitiful yield. I still have Mazar beans, if it works for you I'll think again.
I also have Fast Buds Gorilla Glue in storage, going to drop one in the next week. I'll watch your progress with high hopes on her & we can compare notes.
I also have a fast Buds Rhino Ryder (their auto version of Mr. Nice's Medicine Man) veg-ing at day 25 under a couple of BigSm0's COB's... yeah, I popped for a couple in my slow but relentless pursuit of this crazy assed light intensity thing I've been chasing. As usual, I bought two, wish I'd bought four. What can I say, a man and his toys :stir:
I have to get a post going on the Rhino Ryder, she's got quite a strong infrastructure. Hoping for great things with her. Starting to show preflowers and beginning to stink.

My Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto started coming down 20 days ago, she's dried and curing as we speak. I did a sequential harvest as the top was so thick with leaf that the bottom half took longer to get some color. All told she took 87 days but Man, she was healthy - 10.4 oz in the jars. And some of the tastiest smoke I've ever inhaled. Smooth but deceptive, easy to overtoke as the smoke expands in your lungs. Can't wait for another taste after a 30 day cure. If you like leaf pruning I can highly recommend this strain, she's a quality and quantity winner. Hmmm, you do six plants, 10 oz. each... yep, definitely gonna buy stock in Ball mason if you decide to give that a try!!!

Thanks for popping up. The six ladies are there because I like growing and 6 seemed like a good idea at the time. Time will tell if I will need 2 or 3 cases of jars. If I get 3 oz per plant I will have more than what I can use or give away. I like variety in my options to smoke. What a mess in Panama City Beach and the panhandle.
