Today is
Jan. 07, 2019 She is 105 days old 15 weeks ….

It looks like to me that she is eating all of the fan leaves she has left. They turn yellow and then dry up like crispy brown thin roll ups. At first I thought the light may be the cause but as it is happening all over her, well I am not sure. First time to see anything like this in the tent. Uhm.

Hey Nosias, been awhile since I dropped in, the wife had to have her knee replacement redone in early December, so I've been playing house husband - shopping, laundry, cooking, and at the end of each day lying to myself about how good looking I am... all the stuff she normally does more than I do. Ennyways, congrats on a wonderful grow this time around. I saw some old friendlies in that tent - Cinderella jack, Gorilla Glue, etc. And that Critical, sounds like you're seeing what I just finished fighting with my Fast Buds Rhino Ryder (Medicine man). Mine was a slow-flower, took forever to come out of veg into bloom, NEVER quit stretching (until I literally had to take 5-6" off the top of every top bud, about 120+ of them. All in all, she took four months; add another two weeks if you count the time from germination to transplant to LED. I'll be updating my experiences with that soon, I'll tag you in so we can compare notes later. That is, if you can stand to get away from those white sand / blue water beaches in P.C. Back in the 70's and 80's when I lived in Atlanta, a couple of times a year we would drive down Thursday night, call in sick on Friday, and spend till Sunday wandering the beaches, drinking beer & eating croaker sacks full of raw oysters we would pick up at the pier. Great times, got to go back one day soon!!! Enjoy your time well spent.

As I was catching up on your grow, I noticed this quoted entry, above (edited for simplicity sake). Since you said you'd never seen this before, I thought I'd offer an explanation for ya. What you're seeing is Nitrogen deficiency caused by the plant's last growth spurt. Nitrogen is one of the most mobile of elements, and the plant is robbing that from the fan leaves to finish its bud growth. So your description of "...she is eating all of the fan leaves " is actually quite accurate, and it is a sign that she's getting ready to start finishing. My old trusty reference from Dr. Benton Jones says it better:

"During the reproductive (flowering and seed and/or fruit development) period, considerable redistribution of elements accrues, although the rate and extent vary with element. Thus, the plant nutrient elements can be classified by their mobility within the plant from the most mobile to the least mobile:
• Very mobile: Mg, N, P, and K
• Slightly mobile: S
• Immobile: Cu, Fe, Mo, and Zn
• Very immobile: B and Ca
"These plant nutrient element mobility characteristics will determine in what portion of the plant one would expect deficiency symptoms to appear, the most mobile occurring in the older leaves, and the least mobile in the newly emerging and young leaves....
"As the plant matures, due to reduced uptake and the redistribution of the plant nutrient elements, a large change in their concentration occurs in the older and younger portions of the plant. With maturity, for example, N, P, and K content in leaves declines, while the Ca and Mg content increases. These changes are the result of two factors—movement out of the maturing leaves for the mobile elements and a decrease in dry weight (loss of soluble carbohydrates)—thus affecting the relative relationship that exists between plant nutrient element and organic contents."
I think your 4 to 5 week guess is pretty accurate; the buds will fill in some but at the end of the journey she's gonna be a bitch to trim - lots of little buds. Plenty smokable, and lots and lots for the butter machine. Whoooaaaaaa Doggy!!!

Once again, congrats on another great grow. Now go enjoy the fruits of your labors!!! FL is a medical state so take your card :)

@Olde School Player .

Hope you were very kind and patient with the love of your life during her times of need. They take care of us and turn-around is only right.

Yes, we lived in Baton Rouge in the 80's. So it was only a 5 hour drive to Pensacola and they were the first beach we ever saw. We were imprinted like baby ducks. So every other beach in the world we compare to this Florida panhandle. You got to love what happened 65 million years ago to make this sand.

The Royal Critical has dry coco on top. I notice this on my last visit to her before we left. So I am thinking she is in bad shape. I will see what happens when I video conference with my daughter. I just will play it by ear.

Thanks for the kind words an another bit of plant science that I had to read 5 times before I said to myself, "I just need to read it slower to understand." :nono: LOL Looking forward to the trim job !!!! :eyebrows: It is all for me, so little buds are welcomed.

Here is last nights sunset

@Nosias Yes, most definitely, I took good care of her. She's mobile once again, just restricted. No worries, I like grocery shopping ever since some genius invented Yoga pants
Your "dry coco on top" got me thinking. Monster plants grow monster roots, and I recall your auto pots are prone to clogging. You may want to have your daughter check that for you, as a clogged nute tube can definitely affect our babies. I use Flo 'n Gro containers which are not prone to clogging (never seen a clog until... ) but when I broke down my system after the Rhino Ryder finished, it had an 8" root mass that had grown into the 3/4" supply tube & came out looking like a cigar. It didn't clog all the way; my hydroton / root mass was still soaked (I flood every two hours), but it might have clogged if it had run another few weeks. Easy fix for you if that's all it is.

Beautiful sunset, WOW. It's a mini-blizzard here on the Middle Coast, although the worst of it will pass to our south. That sunset just makes me FEEL warmer.

Have some Appalachicola Bay oysters for me while you're there. They are the best in the world.

@Olde School Player I will have her check. Thanks for the thoughts.

Glad you liked the pic. We drove around Panama City yesterday. All I can say, Boy what a lot of damage. Streets lined with debris and SOOO many trees still not cut up or removed. Tall pines with a 2.5 foot diameter were just snapped about 25 feet from the ground and they are frozen in time looking like the day it happened. Sad. Too many homes were destroyed or damaged and some still have large trees on them. We will not travel est on 98 any further. I felt bad gawking at all of the suffering. I would hate to see what it is like around Mexico beach.

Keep them all in your thoughts.

I do not eat raw oysters. My wife does and she is enjoying them. She says they are the best she has had.

Gorgeous picture! :thanks: Watching the weather for my part of the US and your picture helped. :pass:

Sorry to hear it’s still bad down there. I lived in Ft Walton Bch, fl in the 70s when Panama City Beach had a direct hit and it took 2 years to rebuild. There are still parts of hotels acting as an artificial reefs offshore in places.

I used to eat oysters by the bucket, but had to give them up long before I gave up the rest of the animal kingdom. I swear I would eat so many I would start to get a buzz from them. Having been a bartender in the French Quarter at a bar that shucked fresh oysters, I have eaten a lot of oysters at one time. So I was always concerned what the hell those oysters had filtered out of the water that made me feel that way.
