Cheatp Ph pen vs BlueLab Guardian

I don't think there is any problem with your plant at this stage and I would not be doing anything other than making sure the roots look good first. So can we have a shot of the roots? My gut reaction to those leaves is to not be concerned as long as most of the plant looks normal.

here is the roots.

theyre stained brown from the dutchpro Root take nute.

I’m thinking of getting one of those Perfect pH by Torus hydro as well.
please let us know how it does

so far the perfect ph is isnt working as its meant to... i keep coming back to a ph of 4.9 every morning. gonna give it a few more days before i leave negative feedback on the ebay seller.

Thank you for following up. Thats what some of the reviews on Amazon were saying as well. I'm think about get a Milwaukee pH controller doser.

OK, yes thanks for that. It looks like a little bit of root stress allowing for the nute staining. It should clear up as the plant gets stronger. Maybe think about a slight redesign on your next grow to get the roots spending more time in contact with the air. Also how big is the reservoir is it large enough that it can cope with a days worth of evaporation without getting to out of kilter?

Okay thanks!

and ive two pots. both 19Liters of capacity. one is the res, the other one is where the plant rests. water levels are good for about 4 days before i need to add more water usually.

update, plant is 1 month and 3 weeks old... its looking very small still.. pistils are present.. but no flowering stretch yet. Any input ? too much ph induced stress? will it recover?

Looks much improved from the March 28 photo. Pretty much everything I grow doesn't match the size or development it is supposed to at that point in time. Autoflowers can be real free spirits.

Should i defoliate some large fan leaves? i see pistils forming.. is it in flowering stage now? should i swap to bloom nutes? sorry for the questions still trying to get my head round it all.

@x00m yes it is in the process of flipping sometimes they flip fast sometime they flip slowly. Yours appears to be flipping slowly, new leaves tend to look a bit weird when they do that. I would definitely remove the leaves with brown spots on them. It would not hurt to tuck some of those big leave in too. Otherwise everything looks fine to me.

I have been using my Apera for more than a year now, hundreds of readings. Every time I have checked the calibration, probably ten or so times, it has been within 0.05 ph or so, which is close enough for me. I rigorously prevent the probe from drying - it is either in storage solution or it is in test solution, never in air for more than 20 - 30 seconds or so, usually less. I store the probe in 3M KCL solution that I make myself. Cheap, and apparently effective. The commercial storage solutions are a rip off in my opinion. I change the storage solution in the cap regularly to keep it clean and undiluted.

So far, I could not be happier with the Apera. It also has a replaceable probe, so when the time comes, getting it back in business will not be expensive.
How do I make the solution❓
