Hi Guys

At the moment I have x3 Think Different and another 3 mixed varieties. At the moment they are in their seedling pots and have been for the last week. They are under a 125w CFL at the moment and was wondering when would be the best time to put them under the 600w HPS

Also how far away should a 600w be from a very young plant? I've hard if its too close its likely to be too much light and bleach them.

they can go ito hps when u want them to. but yes distance of the light is key. i would keep the 600w hps at a safe distance like 2 feet away depending. then you can ease the light down to 18inches or 12inches. hope this helps JohnyT! happy growing!

also forgot to add ventilation. u probably would know that the heat from a hps light is extreme. not sure if u have a cool tube or not. if not make sure u have a good fan. u need new air circulation :)

Yes, you can switch lights at any time. 2' above the plant is a good starting point. Then watch you node spacing and raise or lower the light to maintain the spacing at about 1". After about 5-6 weeks when it goes into full flower, lower the light to maximize the light for budding. Place you hand, palm down at the plant top and lower the light to a level where it feels comfortable on the back of your hand for 30 seconds or so.
