Here we go again...my second grow. I've changed my grow-room location from a room that is either very cold or very hot. This should allow me to regulate temperature much easier. It will also allow the room to be free of dog traffic, in and out the back porch and hopefully keep those spider mites from attaining access to my plants. Given the time of year it also seems unlikely that they will be up and about during the grow anyways.

What I have chosen to grow this round:
Note: Sweet Dreams... is actually Swiss Dream Auto CBD

While one plant will be exceptionally high in CBD/low THC, the other will be exceptionally high in THC/low CBD.
This will be my first photo-period plant.

Seeds have been in rockwool(treated in pH 5.5 tap water) for 2 days and are just now beginning to sprout. So begin date is Feb. 11, 2019. A temperature probe is in the rockwool and a heat controller is set to maintain a heat pad at 78 deg F +/- 2deg. When sprouts do appear I will post the first images.

Almost 3 weeks in and there was a marked difference in each plants size. This morning I checked in and saw that the smaller plant, Girl Scout Crack, was a bit dries out and shriveled. Under watered it. I planted a new seed (Critical Kush) in case the BSC fails to recover.

What appears to me algae on the rockwool is just bizarre lighting.

I am only maintaining about 55%-60% RH as the price of distilled water has gone up to $1.59/g Need to do something about this!

Critical Kush germination on March 2nd, but seedling has not popped its seed shell and spread its wings. Not holding out too much hope for it!
May start another seed.

Swiss Dream is looking good with a 5-6in spread.

5.5 weeks into Swiss Dream Auto CBD and I have the flower stage beginning. Just turned on the "BLOOM" LEDs along with the "GROW" LEDs. Will begin venting and using the ventilation fan. This plant grows only to about 3ft. but I recently trained the main cola to keep it level with other buds. Its actual height would be about 8in, but is 6in with training. It's 9in wide, one of the smallest plants I have grown that has begun to flower.

Weird...thought I had added info on a new seed I planed, but it's gone.
On 03/12/2019 I began germination of a fourth seed as the Critical Kush died.
the new plant is

Nebula CBD

Placed Nebula CBD in pot of COIR.
Fertigated Swiss Dream CBD with 1gal wk 4 nutes(100% strength) to 20% runoff at pH 5.9. Soil pH is 6.6. Still odd that the actual soil pH is higher than the nutrient solution, just as last year. Difficult to explain, given an assumption that the pH meters are accurate and equal.
I believe I added a bit more perlite to the coco this year, and this didn't seem to affect the pH...not that I really expected it to.

The pots this year are slightly smaller than last year. Last years pots were 12in in diameter and 9in high. The roots were well within the pot boundaries. This year the pot size is 10in in diameter and 9in high. This makes for less soil needed, less nutrients needed, and a lighter pot when lifting wet. Care will be needed to keep the outer diameter moist as the roots may get closer to the pots edge.
Temperature maintained @ 78deg +/- 2deg, and RH of 65% +/- 3%. The price of distilled water went up 30 cents/gal to $1.69(tax incl). I am estimating that I may need close to 30gal($50.) It would take 2-3 years to break even on a distilled water appliance.

Fertigated Swiss Dream CBD with 1gal wk 5 nutes(100% strength) to 20% runoff at pH 5.8. Soil pH is 6.6. Next time, just irrigation @ pH 5.6...
So far, this Sweet Dream plant has exhibited little to no "stretch" and is a mere 10in tall, -2 a couple for training, and about a foot wide.

Irrigated Sweet Dreams with 1.25gal water at pH of 5.6 to 15% runoff. Soil pH - 6.6.
The Nebula CBD seedling appears kind of strange, exhibiting branches with only three leaves instrad of 5, 7, or 9.

Vitals:
Swiss Dream CBD (Auto): Seed - Feb 11 | Flowering - March 24 | Flush - ? | Harvest - ? | flowering - wk 2
Nebula CBD (Photoperiod): Seed - March 12 | Induced Flowering - May ? | Flush ? | Harvest - ? | flowering - wk

Noticed a bit of "tip-burn" on the Swiss Dream CBD, will cut back nutrient strength to 90% next feeding. Oops! Already mixed nutes. Will dilute and re-calibrate pH.
The next set of leaves on the Nebula CBD has one with 5 leaves and another with 4.
