Chopped the Babushka Black yesterday after a couple of 90 degree days in a row. Glad I did too because we had thunderstorms roll through last night soaking everything again.
Super resiny plant, I got a tiny charras off the trimming scissors. Into a paper bag and in the closet for a few days before jarring.
I actually didn't try any until this past weekend, and it was very nice.
It's a little harsh, black ash, but a very nice mix between skunky and diesely flavor and aroma.
It's definitely 30:1 in favor of the CBD, the "high" was extremely relaxing and mostly felt like a big sigh of relief engulfing me if that makes sense.
The drying process went pretty well. I had the buds in a paper grocery bag for about 3 weeks in a cool/dry closet. Put them into glass after that and they developed a little bit of a hay smell, but as I've dipped into the jar and moved buds around, I've found the lower half of the jar has cured very nicely with no hay smell at all.
I'll def be sampling the lower buds to see if there's any difference in the smoke. Also going to try a 50/50 blend of this with the Babushka Black to see how that high is.
