Hello AFN family. Well today is day 1 of my first indoor soil grow. Heres the info about my setup, equipment, nutes, ect.
(1) LowRyder #2 auto feminized from Herbies Seeds
Stealth cab - 48" H x 19" W x 26" D, cleanly wrapped in reflective mylar, 12x6 grill for air intake, 4" extraction fan for air out/vented on back of cab with 4" flex duct, 12" odor filter to be attached at bloom stage, Apollo 6 Cidly LED set on 20/4 light cycle on Brinks timer, a Holmes 6" fan for air flow. Digital Accu-Temp to monitor temp/humidity
Nutes - Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice micro, grow, and bloom, voodoo, Cal Mag Plus, Big Buds and Bud Candy for bloom, earth worm castings for veg, Jamaican Bat guano to be added at bloom stage to top soil. I will be using Tang's Feeding Schedule starting at 1/4 strength and adjust up to full strength accordingly after monitoring my lady as weeks progress.
Medium - 8 qt bag of Miracle Grow organic, 8 qt bag of Miracle Grow sphagnum peat moss, and 8 qt bag of Miracle Grow perilite all mixed together in a 16 gallon rubbermaid tub. Using a 3 gallon black plastic pot for my bean. added earth worm castings to mix in the 3 gallon pot for veg stage. Will add Jamaican bat guano when i enter bloom stage to top soil. I wanted to use the Sunshine Mix #4 for my grow medium as Briman suggested to me, but I couldnt make it 2 hours away to the closest Grow shop to me due to all the nasty weather we have been having on the US East Coast. I was not about to pay more money for the shipping than what the mix costs itself. Sooo, I have to work with what I could get at the moment. Sorry Briman.
So I have been running my setup for the last 2 days as Briman suggested to get my temps and RH up to speed. My bean has been germinating for the last 36 hours and went into its 3 gallon pot about 2 hours ago. Before it went in I watered my soil with just water ph'd at 6.5 at 1 gallon until I got a lil runoff. I will be giving it just plain ph'd water for atleast the first 2 weeks every 3-4 days before adding any nutes. Well I cant wait to see how this goes. Its my first attempt at an indoor stealth soil grow. Im very motivated and still learning alot, but I think with the help of all the great people here at AFN it will be a great adventure and learning process.
