Hey bro. If there's no way to get cooler air to the intake like squid said, I like JM's idea of switching your exhaust duct to the top and your cool air intake to the bottom. If it's hot in there now, it will only get hotter as plants grow and block the air from efficiently being drawn to the bottom. Plus, it will be drawing that hot air past your plants. Like JM said, the hottest air will be at the top of your chamber and, conversely, the coolest air in the surrounding area will be along the floor. If the exhaust is moved to the top, the natural convection will help to chuck that hot air out and suck the cool air in off the floor and past your plants.

PM to follow :smokebuds:

Yeah I thought I had the exhaust close enough to the top but I guess it needs to be all the way on top, I just didnt wanna go through the trouble of moving it and it not work but I guess you guys know more than me so I'll give it a try and let ya'll know how it works:peace:

Shitbeans I misread your original post. I skipped an "and" in there somewhere and thought you were exhausting through the bottom of the box. If you're exhaust is above the highest level your lights will be raised to, you should be all set if you can just bring cooler air to the intake. Maybe try covering your current intake hole with some duct tape and putting 4 or 5 smaller holes as low as you can in the chamber to suck air right off the floor. If it doesn't work, you can always cover up the small holes with duct tape.

Hope you didn't start ripping and tearing already.... That's what I get for reading whilst taking bong hits.

Also might help to put your intake hole on the opposite side of the box as your exhaust so that it pulls air across the entire chamber. Right now, the problem might be that it's only really cycling the air right beneath the exhaust port. The rest of the air in the chamber will cycle at a slower rate, causing it to heat up.

My intake has a fan in it and it blows pretty hard all the way across, I put the exhaust on the top like y'all said but I don't think it helped any, I think I might need a better exhaust fan or something.
