Hey guys,

I'm growing two strains new to me. One is a Mandarin Cookies V3 x Cotton Candy V1 (grape) by Ethos Genetics and the other is CannaPie (Cannalope Haze x Jawa Pie) from hydro-joe.com.
The Mandarin Cookies is an Alpha Fem (whatever that means) and the CannaPie is a reg. Hydro-Joe says his seeds have over 75% chances of being fem so fingers crossed. Both seeds took off and germinated in the fastest time in my limited experience.
They are both 1 week old in 4 inch grodan cubes and under my flourowing CFL which I use for seedlings. Watered with rain water ph'd to 6.5.
I plan to put them in 7 gallon bags with Happy Frog soil and under LED's in a couple weeks.
Will have more soon!

Current update guys:
A friend lost most of his outdoor crop due to the recent hurricane Isaias so I donated the Mandarin Cookies to him for a new indoor grow.
I started a new grow from seeds I bought from greengrassseeds.com. It is a feminized Screamberries which is a cross of Scream F1 x Hot Glue by SoFem Genetics.
Just put into some purified water for 24 hrs and will germinate using wet paper towel method. It should hopefully catch up to the CannaPie soon.

Update on CannaPie and Screamberries
Hey guys,

Here's my update:

The CannaPie from hydro-joe.com has taken off like a rocket! Going from the leaf morphology it does appear to be an Indica dominant phenotype.
I fimmed it at the 5th node.

The Screamberries is about 20 days behind but will catch up soon. I just placed the grow cube in soil a couple days back and had placed the CFL a little too close which caused some heat stress damage to the seedling you can see by the lower leaves which have wilted/died. Hopefully the recovery doesn't set it back too long.

My local hydroponic store was out of Happy frog soil so had to make do with Roots Organic which is a great soil but like so many people have told me I got GNATS!!!! I've ordered beneficial nematodes to tackle this issue.

The Gnats are all gone!!!! Nematodes are a miracle. I got them for about $12 on amazon prime. Link below:
Amazon product

Anyways, the plants are doing good although the CannaPie got Nitrogen tox aka "The Claw". I have since flushed the soil and things are starting to change for the better. Also, after fimming the CannaPie has gotten very messy and unsymmetrical growth wise. I'm used to a symmetrical mainlining growth seen with topping and this was the first time I have fimmed. Lets see...needs further trials.

For the Screamberries I went with topping so it may be a good side by side comparison of the two. The Screamberries seems to have problems of its own and hope that its still early into veg and will be corrected.
