would curing the trim ( the same way you do for buds ) work to get rid of the chlorophyll taste? I know about it being good for you, but but I eat a lot of green veggies so I'll pass on it in my oil lol. any other suggestion to get the 'green" out?
You can water cure to remove chlorophyll and flavor. You can also water cure the oil but separating is a pain. One of those fat seperating pourers would help. Its all a pain....
tips.......Dont stir material...use first pour thru strainer without squeezing or pressing bud....... Use bud, less chlorophyll more consistent strength.
I think a mistake folks make is wringing out the material. This will be darker and stronger in flavor. First pour is for meds the squeezed and pressed out oil I keep seperate for cooking.

Exactly!
I got tired of all the squeezing and now go for 2 or 3 extractions.
That is oil for the rubs only.
I have always heard that water cure takes flavor and chlorophyll away. But my oil was still green.
I'm checking to see if I can get more with everclear.
Mossy has me thinking that the chlorophyll is good for us.
capsules take care of that .. honestly I think our oils with chlorophyll are way stronger. this coconut oil I made is knockout. strongest I've ever made. root ill holler at you and Mustard privatey...
Yea Reb, that is what I have found as well. I do think the Coconut Oil infused with Canna is more potent and longer lasting for me as well, but there is still a place in my med cab for the olive oil, as well as the Green Dragon Tincture. Cress wasn't kidding when he put the disclaimer in the title of his recipe concerning being careful about the tincture.
