DAY 1 - WEEK 1
Okay I'm sensing a bit of impatience so I better get to it and post my first official update! One popped last night but I wanted to see if I had two this morning, which I do! Here's the liite munchkins:

Having to use ice to keep the tent cool again, this 400w is a beast! I got the light 33" away at the moment as im worried about cooking them... does anyone know how close to start seedlings to a 400? Everythings good- soil is nowhere near dry, temps around 28 with ice... overall very happy start! Thanks AFN, and thanks to everyone following this grow... it's going to be emotional! Im off to have a celebratory spliff.

Peace, and happy birthday to my new girls! :styles rasta:

33 inches is fine for a hps i would have said 30 but you should be fine just watch out for them stretching quit a bit. but you probably want that if your going to train them to a scrog. thanks for the update man, sounds like your off to a great start.

how do you use the ice to cool the tent down dread?

I have filled a bunch of plastic milk bottles (4 pinters) with water, frozen them and then hang one at a time in my tent by string near the fan and rotate them every couple of hours. Bit of a pain in the ass, but it gets the job done and tbh I'm in there checking every hour or so anyway hahaha! It tends to drive the humidity up a bit, but thats not a problem for me.
