New Grower Candy cane and train wreck auto grow

Nice job topping. Looks like they are already taking off. Too bad about the male. We’re those seeds feminized? Good luck on your grow. :smoking:
Yeah. They were suppose to be feminized. The other four are all female. I am not really a Sativa guy but I guess I’ll have to be as three of the four are Sativa. I’ll be taking the male plant to a friends place to experiment with the 6 and 2 lighting schedule and perhaps collect the pollen.

Day 24

I checked the ph of my worm castings and it’s sitting at about 5.5. Must be the peatmoss in it. It doesn’t look like there are any defficancies but I’ll keep an eye on them and hold off on feeding until Thursday. Next watering is tomorrow. All of the plants are now in preflower with no sign of hermaphroditism. I have also been noticing that about hour 16 of lights on the plants are showing signs of light stess. Kind of wilting but they are perked back up in the morning. I moved the light up to 24 inches this morning and will be checking them before lights off tonight. If they are still showing stress I’ll reduce the lighting time by half an hour a day until they don’t show stress. The male has been isolated in a different location and is on a six and two schedule and I’ll be posting photos of how it does.

I believe that the plants lead are just getting ready for bed and it's a natural thing for them to droop a bit before lights off. Nothing to worry about

Day 27
Watered on the 25th raised the ph of the water with some ground up egg shells it tested at around eight. The run off tested between six and seven. Fed them yesterday with the worm castings tea and did a little light bondage this morning. The candy cane plant is really brushing out and the top node is starting to flower. The trainwreck plant at the back left is sure spindly but the leaves are all healthy. The topped trainwreck on the black right is very strong and I am wondering if it might not be an auto.

Couldn’t find the dog for almost a half hour. With it being so dark and cold here she was craving some sun.

Day 29
After an evening of debotchery with some old friends I have finally made it out of bed and checked on the girls. They are growing like crazy. I’ll have to continue to train them on a daily basis until they are in full flower. I’ll feed this evening with some worm castings tea.

Day 32

Watered yesterday morning and did some low stress training. I am starting to consider using some sort of nutrient for the flowering period. At this point I just want to get a decent yield without going chemical fertilizer crazy. I’d like to stick with organic nutrients but I cannot get them in town and don’t feel like ordering them online. I can get canna, general hydroponics andemerald harvest products from the local shop. Anyone have any recommendations?
