Hey AFN!
I'm 42 days into my first grow and I'm worrying about humidity. I grow in a dedicated room in my basement. Up until a few days ago the humidity was about 55% with the lights on and 65% with the lights off. Now that winter is coming (lol) the humidity does seem to be dropping a little. It was 45% just now with the lights on and will likely be 55% when they are off. However since the girls have entered the flowering stage I notice I'm having to give them a lot more water. This concerns me because more water = more humidity.
I do have really good air movement in that room. 2 Vornado fans, 2 oscillating fans, and the one 6" exhaust fan which goes through the reflector hood of my HPS and then out the room. There isn't a spot in that room which doesn't have a nice breeze.
I'm not opposed to buying a dehumidifier if needed. I have a budget of $200 (which would be enough for a good one), however if possible I'd like to put that money towards an LED light so I can ditch this 400w HID.
Thoughts? Opinions? Any feedback is appreciated!
