New Grower Califlower feminized seed run with Colloidal Silver

Well after i returned from vacation i went ahead and harvested all the califlower. THe highest yielding one was 42g at 4" tall. there are at least 200 seeds per plant. i was hoping for more seeds. it appears that simple wind pollination is not efficient enough for pollinating all the bud sites. this next run i will be hand pollinating as well to make sure more seeds are produced. either way great results! the seeds are in the refrigerator, ill be germinating some in the next day or two.

I got rid of all my photo plants, im quite ready to start growing some large high yielding autos. Ive been smoking whats left over after removing seeds for the last few months, its time to see what these califlowers really can produce.

I am using tall 3 gallon pots, 12 of them under my 400w hps. every week i will start a new feminized seed so that i have perpetual harvest, 1 time per week with a total of 84 days before harvest. every third plant will be pollinated by hand so that every third week i can harvest feminized seeds.

Ive had several people ask to see some bud from my autos before buying seeds. i havent had anything grown for that purpose yet. hopefully this setup will make the difference.

I think ill be starting a new thread for this perpetual grow. i really wanted to create this thread to show people how easy it is to grow your own feminized seeds. i really look forward to not having to weed out males.

anyone with questions regarding making feminized seeds etc feel free to post in this thread!

I've had Lowryder #2 seeds that have hermed on their own with no CS. Then when i used the feminized seeds that were created they all hermied. So hopefully the CS method works which I think it will. Cause all these seed banks these days are only selling fem auto seeds so the CS method has to be what their using. Will be trying the CS I bought from you a few months ago on some Easyryder Lowryder#2 and Blue himalaya

Thanks for all the positive feed back!

From what i have read, a plant that herms naturally is not one that you want to use for breeding because the results, as you report, are hermie offspring.

Ill update this thread again concerning the resulting seeds. i started 5 from two of the 3 plants that was pollinated at the proper time. This was this morning, they are out on the hps ballast right now popping. I have every reason to believe they will be all feminized. Ill be tossing out any of the feminized seedlings that dont show sex by day 21. As i have said before, i really want to breed for plants that show sex in as little time as possible. oal is 10 days but i think ill be tossing out those that dont show sex by day 18.

Again i really hop to produce some beautiful gals this time around. Ive been focusing too much on having a wide selesction of things going while running multiple experiemnts. The plants that will make the f3 eneraton of califlower will all be large and dense.

Every week i will start a new califlower feminized seed. then every 3rd plant i start will be pollinated by hand with feminized pollen that came from a califlower f2 REGULAR (NOT FEMINIZED) plant. Im not nervous to breed with all feminized seeds but i know it may bother some people whom may want seeds.

rafting is done with the photo plants, i have 9 strains on one lemon skunk base. pictures later!

Please feel free to ask questions.

hermi pollen x's= males, females and more hermies

what do you guys think, i could do 8 1 gallon califlowers in my autoflower cabinet or i could fit 25 califlowers in the same spot using 2 stacked 18oz cups. all of these in the seed cabinet are obviously for pollen and seed only, so which would be better, more or less?

considering the size the last time around, i think more would be better at this size. it would also allow for more selection of preferred phenos.

input?

I just pulled my bioreactor out of the garage. i really want to get it in use, its such a beutiful piece of glassware. If you had a bioreactor what would you use it for? its about a half gallon in size. I am thinking of doing a plant tissue suspension culture. i have some piper auritum seeds, maybe thats what ill use it for.

I'm constantly surprised by how big plants can get in those keg cups...

iLuvIndica grew this:

Joe Dirt's:

And scott ALWAYS grows monsters:

So, if yer choice is 8 "fullsize" or 25 cups, my vote goes to the cup! And if you get one thats "special" for one reason or another, you ca always cut the bottom off the cup and tier it into a bigger pot...

I think ill be going with a mix of the small one gallon pots and double stacked party cups.

my feminized califlower seeds have germinated and now have broken ground. Im looking forward to getting 100% females within the next 2-3 weeks. pics to come

ive never grown pot only shrooms, but im researching and planning on growing some afs and im gona try to get as organized as you! i must say youre quite the horticulturalist!

hey man, if you can grow shrooms you can grow amazing autoflowers, i look forward to seeing some of pics of your grow! have you picked out a strain yet? thanks for the compliments, i wish i was half as organized as you think ;)

Have u grown those fem seed su made yet? I wanna see if they all turn out female
