Hey all this is my first auto grow. I got four berryryders going the two oldest at 25 days are showing calmag defficencys single finger leaves are PALE and it is working its way up. I have been reading about foliar spray with epsom salts what is your mix ratio and how frequently should I apply?? what is better foliar or in the water? I just ordered some ff tigerbloom to start feeding as the are showing now. I have only feed with bloodmeal up to this point. Will just the tiger bloom carry me threw my grow or is there anything else I should look into. Thanks in advance for helpin this auto newbie.:smokebuds:

1 tbsp to a gallon should be good

Foliar feeding is going to be a lot faster than just watering it in.

If i need to use epsoms i won't spray more than twice with it.

I just mist the plant down and make sure i get the underside also,Then i wait a couple days and hit it once again if needed.

I'll let someone else jump in for the other questions :D

At 25 days old I wouldn't expect to see a cal/mag deficiency. Since you have only given them blood meal I think it would more likely be a nitrogen deficiency. Blood meal is a fairly slow acting nutrient, taking as long as 2 weeks to become available to the plant. What kind of soil are they in? If it doesn't contain a lot of nutrients and with only blood meal, they are probably in need of more N at this point. Up until the vertical growth stops, usually around week 6, you need to be feeding them a good veg nutrients. If you're going to use the FF line, that would be their Grow Big. In the mean time, I wouldn't use any epsom salts on them. Instead I would mist them with 1 part household ammonia to 10 parts water, IF it indeed a N deficiency. But before you do anything, post some pictures so we can get a look first.

Yep, that's N, not cal/mag. Do a foliar spray with the ammonia solution, once a day for 3 days. You should start to see some green come back into your leaves. As soon as you get the Grow Big, give them a 1/2 strength feeding.

What brand is the potting soil?

heres some pics of the three, soil is perlite and clean potting soil no ammendments. I ordered some grow big as well as tiger.

thanks for the tips muddy! I will give those a shot should be recieving my nutes tommarow. I think the soil was called nautural choice or something like that. It was bought at little local nursery.

As long as it doesn't contain slow release nutrients it should be fine.

i already see issue from alkalinity in soil what kind of watter do you use for wattering???
nitrogen will show up quickly from overwattering and throwing off the ph balance and ability of ions to transfer is why i ask
and look like a nitrogen def when it is really a nitrogen excess due to the excess water throwing off the oxygen ratio and making ions start to lock up for N is why i ask
see like muddy said in some cases foliar feeding is the way to see
if you have a simple plant def than foliar will show faster
if it is in the roots and you treat foliar it won't really help but short term so you can see the dif
w/o a way to check ph and compensate medium/temps to the ph fluctuation due to temp dif
