New Grower Cabinet progress and seed choices

Hi all, it's been a while since I introduced myself, so I figured I'd give an update on my cabinet's progress.....and take the opportunity to rack some brains!

I bought a 940mm wide x 400mm deep x 1000mm high metal cabinet, which now houses the following:

240 UV Blackstar LED
100mm Vents TT(U) Extraction
100mm x 150mm Phresh Filter
80mm AC Intake Fan
45W Tube Heater
Root-it Thermostat
6 inch Clip-on Fan for circulation

I have lined the cabinet in 3mm Foam board covered in Mylar style sheeting, and made sure to insulate any gaps with a "P profile" strip.
Really, by now, I should have this project completed...I only need to finish off the port for the power lead to run through, and wire my intake fan to a plug.....no excuse other than I got high, perhaps a little too often!

I have some Kush Van Stitch and Cobra from Flash Seeds, and Creme Mandarin from Sweet Seeds to have a bash at when i finally pull my finger out.

Feed-wise, I am going to use Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect (Sensi Grow and Bloom), with Voodoo Juice, Bud Candy and Nirvana Additives. I didn't get the Cal/Mag after reading on a thread that it wasn't required, is this correct guys??

I would really appreciate some opinions on the best soil to buy (in the UK), so far i have been told Bio-Biz light mix would be good...

Having run LEDs for a bit now , the one issue I have had is cal/mag deficiency . I had to supplement that even with regular regimen of nutes . But , after switching to PH perfect , I have yet to run into that problem again . I only run the 3 part and so far have been impressed with the results . YMMV

Np ........... I was actually surprised at how well the AN worked for me . Up until I ordered it I was using botonicare Cal/mag . For me the best thing is I don't ph my water anymore . No more up/down . Always read about some new "magic elixir" out on the market that seems to fall short of expectations . but so far the AN has done what it says it does .

Hey guys! I've been looking at Air-pots today and i'm wondering if they are really better than a standard plastic pot? (30% extra growth i think they claim on their website). Things like the reduced amounts of soil used per plant, for similar results to using a larger standard pot, and the implied better root structure created by the Air-pot's design sound like really good ideas...... I have had a peek around the forum to see if anyone has already posted a comparison, if they have, i'll apologise now, but I couldn't find any!

Has anyone got any info or experience they could share with me please!
