Hello all, I have been doing some research into producing my own feminized seeds. I have staggered my plants out so that I can reverse, and collect the pollen from the reversed females before the next set of plants will go into flowering.

My question is, how much time do I have after the plants display pre-flowers, to still be able to apply CS for reversal? I have read that the earlier, the better, but I sold my Delorian and cant travel back in time anymore. They showed pre-flowers a week ago, and hopefully my CS should arrive within a day or two. Did I miss the boat? Thanks in advance

You didn't "miss the boat" but if you start spraying now, sacs will form inside of the flowering bud, requiring you to break up the bud to get to the pollen... I did the same thing on the first plant I reversed.... It all worked out though in the end  nothing wrong with experimenting... BTW why not make your own CS? Doesn't get any easier  sending you a big old she male karma cloud...

i do my best to do it at pre flower or just before , if they are fem seed plants i start spraying when i guess they are about to preflower

you will most likely be able to collect some pollin , but id advise spraying sooner in the future

I was going to make my own generator as it seemed quite easy, but I had an Amazon credit and figured I would eliminate any chance of shootin myself in the foot by not doing it properly haha. If all goes well I will certainly build my own =)

I would imagine you advise against applyimg CS to a single branch, and self pollination? I would imagine that isnt ideal, from. fromgenetics standpoint. I only have 3 Critical jacks and was hoping to still yield as much smoke as possible, while netting a good amount of seeds for future use. Im greedy like that :smokeit:. And I know you cant smoke the plants where CS was applied

If I choose to pollinate another female, how much does the energy invested intoseed production reduce bud yield? 50% or so? Sorry for the questions, just trying to decide which route I want to go here.

if you pollinate the entire plant it will drastically reduce the budding , even pollinating the lower half will have quite an impact

i greedy too so i pollinate the entire plant , just think of how many female plants you can grow when you have hundreds of female seeds Holy Moly

Very good point. A lifetime supply of seeds from my favorite strain would indeed be pretty bitchin, Bob :booya:

Thanks for the info and a push in the right direction! :grat:

That's not being greedy bro, it's known as good old fashion thrift; waste is the bad thing. With the hassle and odds of getting your genetics delivered from a far away land, it's wise to make the most of everything you have. Waste not want not, as my mother use to say.

I've gotta silver skunk & a west coast sour diesel from reg seed nearly two weeks into flower, but barely showing sex because they're so young; I hope it's not too late to reverse one of them. :help:

CS is kinda tricky IMHO,
Many times it failed some times it rocked.
I'd apply it alot more than once a day.
And it failed to reverse a single branch for me

Reverse the hell out of her.
Save the pollen in the freezer if its commig along slow.
Good luck
Making seed is as addictive as growing
Lol

if it failed for you "many times" i dont think you should be giving advise , im not trying to be a d!ck , just stating a fact

c.s has NEVER failed me , a lot of times i only spray once a day , sometimes forgetting to spray for 2 or 3 days

@ skatterbrayne , spray the entire plant ,,,, ah h3ll , read the definative colloidal siver tutorial and you will get any and all the info you need

see you there , peace Cool:

Time Line & Choosing Parentage?

I'm in a fix, I'm making a batch of CS and have two photo silver skunks the same age, one is barely into pre-flower, and the other is slightly showing signs of flowering/pistils. Am I too late to begin spraying one? Under normal circumstances, or now, which one should be use as the father/pollen donor, the one with the strongest odor and fastest growth, or the slightly less odoriferous, and slower growth?

Can I spray the donor and keep it in the same space with the other girls until it begins to turn?
