how many holes in yer pot ? its budding up,lovely purple buds i may add,for a first grow not half bad just hang in there ride it out till the end,get yourself a few buds.hit round 2 like ya mean it.

How many holes in my pot? Is that yer best chat up line? I’ve no idea tbh, more than enough though without trying to get ma heed under there. Don’t worry, I’m determined to Smash the next one. AK420 by seedstockers already has a couple of puny leaves on her, roll on some tasty sativa!!

just thinking if its heavy claggy water holding soil,go mad with a drill at the pot right up the sides and everything 6mm bit.but try not to hurt whats inside.

i done my pots empty,but if dont go in 4" each time should be fine.pots will dry out a hell of a lot quicker.

i use airpots now.

Did the holes work? Better root system?

i dont know if the root system was better or not.but plants liked it,helped get that wet/dry cycle going to every other day from once maybe twice a week.a lot harder to overwater,and if ya do its kinda ok as it will dry out quicker.wheras before if i overwatered a 4 day old it didnt need water for nearly a fortnight,by that time it was stunted as shit.
moved onto airpots,now i can water everyday.

Or, with one of them "multi tool" things you can cut lots of 2mm wide slots in the sides, not enough to let things fall apart but enough for excess to get out and the pot to 'breathe".

And then go mad with the 6mm, or smaller, drill anywhere you haven't slotted.

That's provided you're someone like me with a background in construction and a compulsion called "Oooh, don't have one of them, how much is it" whenever he would walk into a tool shop, methinks the angle grinder might be overkill..

That’s it, pot quickly butchered with some 5ml holes as it was the largest I had. I think I’ll get more holes in there with a slightly smaller bit when I get a spare 5mins. Cheers guys, let’s see how fast she dries out!
